I went to school with alot of the local sheriffs don't remember them being drug dealing stealing bullies back then. They are doing a job that has to be done. I have not seen anybody busted for 25 plants or less in quite a while. But, for some reason every time they make a bust of 100-200 plants they are the worst corrupt cops harassing innocent people on earth. But, here is a 6000 plant bust and most people agree that is o.k to bust. If you can't follow the law when it was 25 plants then you need to get busted. No the people getting busted are not getting jail time, but just as good their being humilated for their greedyness. They are letting people grow medicinal marijuana now just follow the guidelines and you won't have a problem.

Oh, lest we forget you are a dope-grower in the Bell Springs area too!, No?

5. Law Enforcement: This Week's Corrupt Cops Stories
http://stopthedrugwar.org/chronicle/543/polic...

A North Texas officer snitches for the Zetas, a Louisiana cop gets a package of pot from Mexico, a New Jersey Transit cop gets popped with pounds of pot, a Mississippi cop gets nailed for stealing from the dope fund, and an Ohio narc goes to prison for stealing coke. Let's get to it:

In Dallas, a former Collin County deputy constable was arrested July 8 for allegedly passing law enforcement information on to his cousin, who state and federal officials say is a "cell leader" for the Zetas, the hit men for the Mexican Gulf Cartel. Deputy Constable Robert Benavides is charged with six counts of abuse of official capacity for checking on whether any arrest warrants were pending for his cousin and for running the registration on vehicles his cousin suspected were police surveillance vehicles. In return, Benavides received "several grams" of cocaine, he allegedly told authorities. Benavides went down after a DEA agent surveilling his cousin recorded conversations on the cousin's cell phone, including one to him. Benavides has worked for several Texas law enforcement agencies, most recently at the Richland College Police Department, where he is now on paid administrative leave.

In Marksville, Louisiana, a Marksville police officer was arrested July 9 after taking delivery of a drug-laden package from Mexico. Officer Victor Greenhouse, 40, is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after he was busted with seven pounds of pot when Louisiana State Police and Avoyelles Parish sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at his home. Local authorities said they had been tipped off to the package by police in Houston. Greenhouse is now on administrative leave and was residing at the Avoyelles Parish Jail at latest report.

In Newark, New Jersey, a New Jersey Transit police officer was arrested July 10 after police found four pounds of marijuana in the back seat of his car. Sgt. Barrington Williams, 46, was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation by the Transit Police and the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. He is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a handgun (because he had his service revolver with him during the incident) and official misconduct. He is out on $5,000 cash bail, but is suspended without pay from his $87,000-a-year job.

In Natchez, Mississippi, a former Natchez police officer turned himself in July 10 to face charges he ripped off the Metro Narcotics unit where he worked. Former officer Eric Kaho, 30, was indicted by an Adams County grand jury for allegedly embezzling more than $500 from a fund that included seized drug money and Metro Narcotics "drug buy" money. Kaho went on sick leave last year, but accidentally shot himself in the chest shortly before he was scheduled to return to work.

In Lisbon, Ohio, a former Colombiana County narc was sentenced July 9 to a year in prison for stealing cocaine under his control. Former undercover narcotics officer Thomas Smith, 50, pleaded guilty to one count of theft in office after cocaine in a storage unit came up missing. Smith had recently retired from the sheriff's office, where he made numerous undercover drug buys over the years

i cant belive you people who are throwing in the medical patients and comparing all medical grows to this one peticular grow. i am extatic that local law enforcement is going after these people, but to compare a legal medical grow with up to 24 plants, thats the max of 4 caregiver cards at 6 plants a card, now how do 24 plants compare to over 6,000 plants and 800 pounds it is my understanding that a legit medical grower can only produce up to 5 pounds a year if there lucky, so how are these the same?. medical grows and industrial grows are not the same, and need to stop being put on the same tier.
Get in touch with reality. Medical Marijuana as it is exploited by the Mendo Pro-Grow croud is a hoax. It is a profit driven venture with no concern for the harm it does. Marijuana is NOT a benign drug - particularly for young developing brains. The drug of 'reefer madness days' had a potency that was only a fraction of what is being produced today.

Ah yes, the "reefer madness" movie. The pot then was "a fraction" of what we have today, and they tried to convince you it made you crazy, a rapist, and suicidal.

But the pot we have today is so much more potent!
I am not sure what to think about all the rapes and suicides that have been occuring as a result of smoking this very very potent pot. what a shame!

I think they should just make pot legal already. Why not? Alcohol is far worse. It is funny to see people freaking out over pot. I wish people would get as worked up over the meth problem, and that law enforcement would put as much energy into that instead.

Oh, yeah. Tom Allman is REALLY opposed to commercial marijuana grows, if the growers aren't kicking any money his way, or if they do a lousy job of hiding the corpses of the Mexicans they murder after the grow season ends.

Gooker Bob? Bob Nishiyama is a topflight law enforcement official. You are a lowlife, Badsmell. Badsmell, maybe we should call you White Trash Okie!

By the way, perhaps Scott Graves is the brother of the late "Hang Glider" Mark Graves, one of Ukiah's finest Green Party members who drank himself to death last year on his toxic waste site property.

Very true. No one objects to someone smoking pot for medicine or just for fun. We object to the major criminal dope growing enterprise that threatens to take over our county. The commercial grows have nothing to do with medicine.

“Arrested were Scott Graves, 48, of Trinidad, David Linhart, 50, of Hawaii, Jonathan Linhart, 46, and Travis Ferry, 27, of Island Mountain, Christopher Bickell, 21, of Colorado, Jose Orozso, 19, Jose Barrera, 19, and Oscar Guillermo, 38, of Oregon, Herman Orozco, 22, Pedro Orozco Munoz, 28, Jesus Carillo, 27, and Pedro Antonio Orozco, 54, all of Mexico”.
I’ve always said that when Sheriff Allman publicly announced that the Sheriffs office was placing marijuana cultivation at the bottom of it’s priority list, he rolled out the red carpet to drug dealers from all over the world to come to Mendocino and go into the illegal pot biz.

Notice to the following Law Enforcement Agencies who were also present at this bust:

County of Mendocino Marijuana Eradication Team - Humboldt County Task Force - Napa Special Investigations - Immigrations Customs Enforcement - Lake County Narcotics Task Force - Sonoma County Task Force - Campaign Against Marijuana Planting - BNE Marijuana Investigation Teams from Redding and Sacramento - West Contra Costa Narcotics Team.

The only reason that Sheriff Tom Allman and Mendocino County District Attorney Meredith Lintott were there is because it would have been embarrassing for them not to be there. If it weren’t for all the other Law Enforcement Agencies that were there this bust wouldn’t have happened at all and there defiantly would not have been any arrests. The only thing that would have happened are the big money pay-offs from the drug dealers to Allman and Lintott would have gone on as usual.

The only reason Allman and Lintott want in on the investigation is so they can mess it up with tones of mistakes and give the Judge a reason to through this case out.

This grow site is just one of thousands that have been allowed to flourish by the MCSD, Misled by Sheriff Allman. The “Yes on B Coalition” advises everyone who calls the MCSD to complain about a pot grow to also notify them so we can start to keep track of the huge number of pot grow complaints that are ignored by the Sheriffs Office every year.

your problem is that if a patient grew 10 plants, you automatically believe that patient DOESN'T need 10 plants, and IS a commercial grower.

1128.6667 cards @ 6 plants = 6,772 medical plants growing for blind patients here in Mendocino County! CLEARLY WITHIN PROP 215 guidelines!

Just another small medical grow! It is just like no on b said, Measure b will be used to go after the small organic family farmer who is only trying to contribute to the local economy and make a better life for his family and our southern friends. When will the police and DA quit picking on the little guy and go after the big commercial growers that are causing the problelms?

Just Asking
Trying to have a constructive conversation with reality checker can be extremely unrewarding. He's constantly saying that because he hasn't seen or heard of something, that it doesn't exist. I always think it's funny when people use their own ignorance as evidentiary proof of a point.

A commercial grow isn't defined by just size. Any time anyone sells any of the pot they grow they become commercially involved. And you are right the bulk rendered by an out door grow is far more than an indoor operation.

An out door plant can easily produce 1 pound of finish bud 12 plants = 12 pounds and because pot is dried so well these days 12 pounds is a heck of allot of pot.
