Hello my name is Adrian James about three days ago my friend Trevor Gunby some how knew about this guy missing and he doesn't even know him well he kept telling all his friends and me that he knew him and that he was missing and that he killed himself what I don't get is how in the world did he know that this guy was already dead. What I think is maybe my friend had something to do with his death.
This is something you should be telling the police not posting it up on this forum. Duh!

I do not for a second believe Roger commited suicide, He had the most wonderful personality, He loved his family and knows how much we all loved him. There is no way he would do anything like this to his family! Roger We Love you so much and will miss you daily until we are all together again. R.I.P

I'm going to say that Roger IS all about love. This is in first tense, present tense, because of the legacy he has left for all he has touched. His love will never be in the past for the ones who cared about him, lived with him, those who raised him, and for those who knew that his hugs were a warm, soft and serene place to be.

We can each turn to each other for comfort because Roger left himself in all of us who love him.

roger was the most kind hearted and loving young man i had the privelage of having in my life. he was my family and anyone who knew him would know how uncharacteristic it is for him to have comitted this act on himself. if anyone knows anything please contact the authorities. roger did not deserve this to happen to him. his very presense could light up the room:) he was funny, talented, caring, loving, and just plain beautiful. i will count the days when our lord will reunite us all with him. "sleep with angels roger until we meet again". i love you.

Just to clear a little something up....The police were never involved in the search, nor the sherriffs department....They never set foot in lowgap to dsearch for Roger! It was friends and family....There really needs to be a correction to the article. RIP Roger....We love you

This is an unfortunate incident. But the press release on www.mendocinosheriff.com did state that friends found the body of the young man. Try to turn your outrage and anger into something that can help other young people so their family and friends don't have to go through this and feel the pain that you do. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Roger has alot of close friends and family. He had alot of love for the closest people. However if roger was upset and hurting in side why didnt any true friend walk with him and try to help roger with any problems that was bothering him.We all will miss you dearly son and now you may rest we love you Roger Allen Dickey

Even if he did have friends he felt he could open up to doesn't mean his friends were old enough, wise enough, experienced enough to know the signs of distress. Even harder for them to know how to respond. The young don't what to tell their fiends secrets, this takes wisdom and experience. A troubled person needs the advice of a professional. To expect professional advice from his peers is asking too much of them. At age 59 I am not sure I would know how to properly respond.

what, now your god? you know that you go to hell for suicide? god is a loving god, a forgiving god, and if you have an opinion "religiously"; please keep it to yourself. roger was very dear to me and my family. knowone has the right to judge him in life, or after!! only the lord himself knows rogers last thoughts and feelings and only he has the right to pass judgment. i know in my heart that he is with jesus where he began.. rest well roger, i love you with all my heart:)your aunt...leah

well, the thing is; someone did suspect what roger was going to do, and did nothing to follow him when he left the house that night. why would a person have to be a "proffesional" to stop a person from harming themselves? i mean, when the police took there first missing persons report containing the information of roger being depressed, roger telling friends he was depressed and going to the park that night. police knowing it was very concerning to all that knew him. why did they not go to th last place he had told he would be? after all, they are proffesionals, and they did nothing!! reminds me of an unfortunate death back in the 80s in ukiah. " rosie grover". teen arrives back in town from summer break off of bus in ukiah 2 miles from her home on the middle of the night. calls dispatch scared someone is following her, needs ride home. is told "it is not our jurisdiction" next day she is found bruttaly murdered.how hard is it to send a couple of units to last known whereabouts of a troubled teen to look into his or her safety? maybe it would have been to late, maybe not, the point is he is gone now and something needs to change about how this was dealt with to prevent future tragedies.
