More parasitic dopers who came here only to grow pot. With hundreds or even thousands of houses and properties taken off the rental market by dopers, no wonder it is a challenge to find affordable housing. The dopers who move here only to grow reduce the rental inventory and drive the prices up. Same thing with houses for sale. Unless we start convicting these parasites, we will only have more of the same.

We need to vote to convict all these dope dealers.

Marijuana which accounts for roughly half of all drug arrests, never was a serious threat to society, families, or individuals and it never will be. Because of that bad law being implemented based on lies by a few people that stood to gain financially from marijuana’s prohibition and them intentionally deceiving lawmakers, literally millions of Americans that choose to use that plant for ANY purpose are criminalized needlessly. No one in the entire world of any age in all of recorded history has ever died from the ingredients in marijuana. In the US we arrest someone needlessly on a marijuana charge every 38 seconds.

Many big corporations that see marijuana as competition contribute heavily to promoting marijuana prohibition. Alcohol, tobacco, petroleum, cotton, timber, chemical and pharmaceutical companies, just to name a few all see marijuana as unwanted competition and of course the government contributes billions every year to keep their prohibition cash cow alive and well. I’ve seen estimates that contributions toward drug prohibition may be as much as 1 million dollars per day. However, once people learn the truth about the issues they overwhelmingly are in favor of revising drug policy. That’s why 13 states have passed medical marijuana laws already and several have decriminalized. The federal government recently revised its policy about prosecuting medical marijuana patients that are in compliance with state laws. That’s a huge step in the right direction. It proves when enough voters take action rational progress toward regulation and away from prohibition is being made.

It's time to legalize marijuana!

If you don't think marijuana is a safe effective medicine for a wide range of medical conditions read this: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/health/fl-cannabi...

and when you're done with that Google: Granny Storm Crow's List

If you people that support marijuana prohibition would learn why marijuana became illegal you might wake up and realize you have been duped. Google: why is marijuana illegal

Studies show that 80% of you will favor drug policy reform once you have the facts!

NO ONE OF ANY AGE IN ALL OF RECORDED HISTORY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD HAS EVER DIED FROM MARIJUANA!

73, 3 inch plants first off this isn't news and second they will walk.

I dare you right now to go ask 12 random people in mendo county if they think this is a crime.

Don't take a plea and force the county to pay for all your expert testimony.

This will never make it to trial just cost my kids a little bit more of the future because we wasted there school funds on torturing the weak minded and lazy.

Seems to me that the Alcohol, tobacco, petroleum, cotton, timber, chemical and pharmaceutical companies, just to name a few should ban together to get pot legal under the STRICT GOVERNMENT CONTROL and REGULATION that many pro pot people have been advocating. If in fact pot is easier and faster to grow, uses less pesticide, less water, produces a better product is more earth friendly it then would behoove them to jump on the band wagon. Quality control of the product would improve. China then would begin producing products made from pot and then import those products at even a lower cost then similar products that would be produced here. The key here is the term Government Control and Regulation.

Marijuana used to be 2% THC and mostly in the hands of adults. Now the marijuana industry is over 100 times bigger and pot can be as high as 20%+ THC and more than half of what's grown ends up in the hands of kids under the age of 18. THC has been in this nations medicine cabinet for over 30 years now. If growers cared about the law and the kids they would obey the laws and stop selling to kids. The pot growers actions are what label them criminals. I'm sure you must realize that this is all about money for drug dealers. I've lived in Laytonville and Willits for the last 24 years and I've heard the growers laugh at how easy it is make big bucks on this "Medical Marijuana" trick.

\Ya know...this bs about pot being stronger is ridiculous. So what if it's stronger. Vodka is stronger than wine and wine is stronger than beer but drunk is drunk. it works the same exact way with cannabis. The stronger stuff will get you there faster, producing less combustion harms which is good, but stoned is stoned as drunk is drunk. And with pot you could use and use and not overdose. try that with alcohol.
And once again you say more than half the pot grown ends up in the hands of kids yet even NIDA says your full of crap! Show some proof of what you post you piece of shet.
Medical marijuna trick huh? Tell the AMA that cannabis is not medicine! tell the government that cannabis isn't medicine with their 2 patents on it. Your full of it and what's sad is that you are too ignorant to realize how dumb you truly sound and appear on here. You're the site ignoramous, the butt of all jokes, the alcoholic of topix, the dumb one!

Stronger pot DOES NOT mean it's more dangerous! Marijuana and THC are NONTOXIC! It doesn't matter how much you consume or how old you are nontoxic is nontoxic! As far as the kids go, ask any kid if it's easier for them to get illegal pot or legal alcohol, illegal dealers don't ask for ID. If you want your kids safe do your job as a parent don't promote a nanny state arresting nonviolent adults that are doing no harm to their self or society!

The high profits you're talking about are another direct result of marijuana PROHIBITION! Once marijuana is leagal it will be no more valuable than any other easily grown crop. Because of prohibition, it is more valuable than gold and for that kind of money people are often willing to kill. ALL THE PROBLEMS BLAMED ON MARIJUANA ARE THE RESULT OF MARIJUANA PROHIBITION!

THE LAWS PROHIBITING MARIJUANA ARE NOT A RESULT OF ANY HARM FROM MARIJUANA. THEY ARE THE RESULT OF LIES, GREED and racism. Read the well documented proof of that and a lot more marijuana TRUTH in these two articles:“MARIJUANA AND HEMP THE UNTOLD STORY, Thomas J. Bouril” and “WHY IS MARIJUANA ILLEGAL, Pete Guither”, click the links to those articles on this webpage:

No matter which side of this issue you’re on PLEASE read the two articles linked above. It’s almost certain you’ll learn things about marijuana and marijuana prohibition that you never knew before.

LEGALIZE MARIJUANA AND REGULATE IT LIKE POTATOES, CORN OR ANY OTHER SAFE NATURAL PLANT/CROP! NO NEW TAXES!

Legalize marijuana and stop funding criminals, gangsters, illegal aliens and terrorists with hundreds of Billions in tax free $ every year.“When you fund something you get more of it”(Ron Paul). Does anyone really think we need more criminals, gangsters, illegal aliens and terrorists?

In 1988, after reviewing all the scientific evidence presented in a lengthy lawsuit against the government’s prohibition of medical marijuana, the DEA’s own administrative law judge (Judge Francis Young) wrote:
“MARIJUANA, IN ITS NATURAL FORM, IS ONE OF THE SAFEST THERAPEUTICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCES KNOWN. IN STRICT MEDICAL TERMS, MARIJUANA IS SAFER THAN MANY FOODS WE COMMONLY CONSUME.”

Judge young's "Opinion and recommended ruling, Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Decision of Administrative Law Judge", also said:

"7. Drugs used in medicine are routinely given what is called an LD-50. The LD-50 rating indicates at what dosage fifty percent of test animals receiving a drug will die as a result of drug induced toxicity. A number of researchers have attempted to determine marijuana's LD-50 rating in test animals, without success. Simply stated, researchers have been unable to give animals enough marijuana to induce death.

8. At present it is estimated that marijuana's LD-50 is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response.

9. In practical terms, marijuana cannot induce a lethal response as a result of drug-related toxicity."
