The New Mexico Lottery payoff is about 33%. So if Grant County residents won $1.4 million, they had to buy $4.2 million in lottery tickets. That doesn't seem like winning big.

All lottery profits -$43.6 million in Grant County - are delivered to the Legislative Lottery Scholarship program to provide tuition assistance to eligible New Mexico residents attending the state's public
colleges and universities. As of the spring 2009 semester, 1,100 students from Grant County have received $4.9 million in Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
So where is the other 38.7 million? Who's pocket is it in? Per the statement 1,100 students have received money. That's only $4454 per student. Who is the book keeper on this mess? Same crap in Calif. They started the lotto for the schools now Arnold wants families to chip in on what is supposed to be a free education. What a bunch of liers.
