About the Venetian we were told about it and we went to see it. Nice reproduction of Venezia. Though we haven't taken a ride.<quoted text>
Thank you. Good information. I would like to return again one day.
I think that Europeans travel more than Americans do especially internationally so it doesn't surprise me that you have been to more places here than I have been over there.
I have heard and read that Florence is the place for art and culture.
I will take your advice in Venice and try to pay a fair price for a boat ride. Did you see the same boats at the big Venetian Casino Hotel in Las Vegas?
Our hotel in Rome was the (in Italian) the Hotel of the Spanish Steps, at the top of the Spanish Steps to the right. A small hotel right across from a larger, fancy hotel. A friendly fellow named Fabio works there and is very helpful to the guests. Say hello to him for me.
I think the name of the roman hotel you have been to is called Scalinata di Spagna. The right translation in English is Flight of Steps of Spain. So, basically you had the Fontana della Barcaccia of Bernini that I told you in the other post, right in front of your hotel.
