I believe there should be a pay back plan in place for the Big Three then they need to look at the total cost of each vehicle from MSP to the sale's commission and see what they can do to reduce prices to sell cars. All the Big Three executives down to the worker level should take a partial cut in pay - NOT benefits. They should think of a rotational work group where everyone works but everyday and the work week should be cut down to four days for all. Work 10 hour rotational shifts to make the 40 hours a week with no overtime. The government workers have flex work weeks whereas they have to work only four days a week and they seemto think it is working and saving money.

It's about time they close down that death trap. I'm sure those 600 people can find much better jobs without having to sponge of the tax payers. The government don't owe none of those people a living. Chino needs to clean up all the so2 they dumped in the ground and clean up the aquifer. All the people down stream are drinking the crap they dumped in the ground. That's the main reason New Mexico has so many retards and misfits. The entire state needs to just disappear. It's worthless as the people that live there. Money hungry parasites. Gary1234 don't even have the balls to use his real name. he just wants to add his two cents about something he knows NOTHING about. Low life scumbag.

ha. They want us to loan them BILLIONS of dollars! Wake up folks, the companies stock is only worth 3 MIL.

If we loan them the money, they better give us stock in the company, thats how it works. Otherwise we should buy them out, fire the CEO's and take over. Put people who are competent and are really looking out for the company and not the stockholders. Some may call that socialism or whatver, but the fact is we are essentially do they same thing if we dont.Giving them a bailout with no strings attached is corporate socialism, at least when we buy them out we get to reap some of the profits.

Some of the wealthiest ElPasoans are car dealership owners. Maybe they should chip in their annual profits back to the Big 3. Look at the owners of Shamely Ford, Rudolph Chev., Dick Poe etc......will they have to sell thier million dollar houses and car collections?

I think someone should give Janette Jones a cup of coffee or something to wake her up....GM is considering shutting down thier Saturn line and she is still sitting back looking fat, dumb, and happy hoping for a new car sale or someone she can "con" into buying a "going out of business" Saturn. Janette, type and print your resume and get in line for a new job.

Yes and with the big 3 auto makers going tits up, some of the welthiest elpasoans will be finally getting a taist of the realworld. They deserve to be knocked down a few knotches. I for one would love to see this resession turn into a full blown depression. Its what this country need. and if you little pussies dont like it, tough shit.
