Free speech is free speech is free speech and until the concept is truly understood, this type of unfortunate event will occur. As an American, you must advocate for free speech, which means you not only claim your right to freely speak but you recognize the rights of those with differing opinions to speak, even if it offends you. If this opened a "racial chasm" it was there already waiting to be agitated. How about you all try to get along? Life's not that long and we're all diferent in some manner. Accept it and go forward.

Perfectly stated, Judgette! I also thought the t-shirt incident only boiled over the pot that was already bubbling.

I though FRHS is a good school. I guess wrong. where can I find more information about the racial tensions at FRHS. I will be relocating with my family to fayette county this summer and we are looking for a safe elementary and High school district.

As for free speech, if the message is hate, then expect it to reciprocate. Common sense needs to be excercised when racial tensions are involved.- a|ex
