You're right. We could have bought a beatiful home in the Tyrone area for about 100K less. That's plenty of $$ to send our children off to private school. But we bought our home as part of a "package". Great investment, great location, great recreational and path facilites and the "deal buster" great schools. Re-zonig the north side to help the south side's overcrowding is just another inefficient soluntion by FCBOE. Re-zoning needs to be addressed at the source of the problem and not where "it's not broke...so dont't fix it" location. FCBOE better hold on tight. They are going to get the roller coaster ride of their life going up against a groug of level-headed, logical parents who will fight tenaciously to do what's best for their children and just happnes to make complete sense.
