Our taxes are going up 22% in our county. Some of the reasons in my opinion are from poor managment. Poor foresite, and lack of knowledge. The county has got a free ride for long enough they need scrutinized. This 22% increase the taxpayers are getting ready to face is unexcusable, what needs to happen so something like this doesn't happen again.. What are the answeres? The county commissioners recieve pay for their service, and missed the boat completely. Costs weren't cut and proper safeguards and preventive measures were not taken to avoid what has happened. The commissioners need to step up. Raising taxes is not an answer, and should have been avoided at least somewhat...

The candidates keep changing their names, thus tricking voters into not realizing they've re-elected Larry, Moe and Curly yet again.

They make all these promises to do the right thing. I'm wondering if anyone can walk into that position without having nothing but personal agendas. Look at McManus, he cared nothing but to hire his friend Shaun Wallace who didn't have qualifications for THAT job no he has hired his friend McCleary , who is a qualified fire INVESTIGATOR, however, has never been a fire FIGHTER, or dealt with this. Then we still have Fowler, who uses EVERYTHING for his personal favor/gain. So you tell me, WHO actually has the citizens of Mg Co's BEST interest in mind???

Would the tax payers of MG Co. be better off if we hired a county manager? Indy's mill stayed unchanged, because of thoughtful, careful planning from the city manager. The county and the three bozo's really screwed up, and the taxpayers will pay for it dearly. We can't seem to get elected as a commissioner any one with any intelligence, and haven't ever that I remember had one that was qualified for anything other than street crew, or garbage pickup. Maybe if the county would remove the salaries from the elected idiots, we could use that money to hire someone with brains.

And have you all seen where the sheriffs office has gotten to buy a "NEW" Dodge Charger out of next years budget to be used to transport prisoners. I'm sorry but I think thats alittle extreme. I know alot of miles are racked up on the car they transport these people with, but come on a Dodge Charger??? Sheriff says they get good gas mileage...I don't know what do you guys think?

Used to be the Sheriff AND the transport officer got a new vehicle EVERY year. So I'm glad to see they have scaled back on one. It used to always be a Crown Vic, but the Charger gets better gas mileage. I guess I don't see your beef.

Well, according to the Indy Reporter, our taxes are only going up at high as 10%. Wow, what a break.

I think that you and Bat Fastard should put your heads together and one of you should apply for the job. You are both pretty straight-shooters (at least on Topix) and since you appear to know a lot about the city & county political machine and come across as a "git 'er done" sorta guy, I think you'd be great! Go ahead, we need someone to start straightening this mess out. And you will have your astute Topix congregation to back you!

Just alot of talk around town about it, dodge charger is an awful fancy car just to transport inmates in.

I would really like to know who actually runs the sheriffs office and the county, is it the county clerk and her daughter? From alot of what we see going on it is them. I really think its time for all these men (sheriff and commissioners)to man up and make discissions with out being told what to do. I am sorry but if you only knew how many people are actually feeling sorry for you,and actually laughing behind your backs. We all thought with a new sheriff and new commisioners things would change but shes got you all right where she wants you, so sad. I feel sorry for anyone who goes against her because one way or another she will make your life a nightmare.

If you look at how these old boys got in office, hell we voted them in. So who's fault is it? Want somebody Please????!!!!

How about TWBB or Bat Fastard....they both got an answer for everything. Isn't that a qualification for the job?

Wrong Again, Spoiled Brat. The correct use of "Its" vs. "It's" DOES fall under the heading of GRAMMAR (note the second A, not E)and NOT under PUNCTUATION (not puncuation!)
