When will the Fit Club Reopen? Has anyone heard?

Has anyone heard what changes will be made? I heard a rumor that there will be a walking track, etc.

Its is being moved to the old Kmart building, it is to include indoor walking track, smothie bar, childcare and overall just a bigger facility!!!

That is awesome! Go Fit Club! Do we know if the rates will go up?

The Fit Club will Re-Open on Monday November 16th. They will have a walking Track, 30X65 Aerobic Room, Child Play Area,Smoothie Bar, and open 24/7. At this time the prices will not go up, and they are planning on Running a few specials for Grand Opening and I think the month of December.

The new one is not up and going yet, they are in the process of changing the name to Cornerstone Family Fitness so once they get the move out of the way the website will get up and going. Hopefully in the next few weeks. It should have pictures of the new facility on there by then I hope.

Can you give us any scoop on what aerobic classes they will have? TURBO KICK??? HIP HOP HUSTLE?? PIYO?? PLEASE SAY YES!

Sounds like a good move for them. The problem it is going to create is probably another empty building in Indy. With them moving out, the college large space moving next door to the fit club's new location and the possibility of the day care closing or moving there won't be enough rent coming in to maintain tha old Arco building. Look out, the doors will be closing.

Don't complain about the rates. They have the lowest rates in the area, as far as I know. They don't have a sign-up fee, and it's month-to-month. Just to throw an example out there, at Reaction Fitness in Tulsa, you used to have to sign a one-year contract and pay a %150 sign-up fee.

I heard a rumor about the Arco Building closing, too. That's too bad if that happens, but it will be a good move for the gym. From what I hear, the space they had at the Arco building was not worth what they were paying. Plus, the gym is going to get some nice upgrades, such as the aforementioned increase in space, aerobic room, smoothie bar, etc.

Lord willing, we will open Monday, November 16th. We have some tile that has to be allowed to "breathe" for 7 more days before we can seal it and put equipment on it...so that is the hold up. We apologize for the extra down time and want to remind our current members that there is not charge for the time we are down and in transition. I regret that my hard core lifters and cardio enthusiasts are having to do other things for exercise, but we are doing everything we can to get opened for you:)

I promise it will be worth the wait and everyone will be pleased with our expansion. We are really excited with being able to offer Independence the new facility. Holler at me directly for more info [e-mail]

When I start exersising, in 3 or 4 minutes I feel out of breath, weak, nausea, headache, dripping sweat, sick and like I'm dying. But when I throw down on a grease dripping bacon cheese burger, and a side order of chili cheese fries, then suck down my route 44 cherry limeaid, I feel fine, like a new man, content and satisfied. Why would one subject their self to such punishment?

At this point no, we won't have. However, in the future we plan to add several things--tanning, massage therapy, hydrotherapy, and possibly a racquetball or basketball court. If racquetball is your preference, I know Health for Life has couple of great courts that you might want to check out.
