I'll bet if you go down to the Nowata County Jail they will be happy to explain why he received these charges and you may even get lucky enough for going down there and questioning them that you can be in the same cell as Strong Jr. and you can ask him why he ran from the accident he caused. Coward!!!!!!!!!! mmmmmmmmm why would I be in the same cell... that is stupid... I obey laws... and it is possible he didn't know an accident had occurred... have you thought of that... I would watch the accusations if I were you...and oh by the way... the only coward here is the one that is so stupid to think I would be in the same cell as he!!!.....

I am not defending anyone...I need to know all the facts before I defend anyone... but I can tell you this... I am not a friend of his... I never knew the man... I just feel that murder charges are a little strong...I always thought of murder as being a stabbing, shooting, choking or some other violent!!! type of death caused by another... never an accident...

I just read a well written article on the KJRH web site that states all the facts as known...IF everything that was stated in that article happened the way it was told...He is guilty of murder under Oklahoma LAW...I just wish channel six would write such well written articles that are full of facts and not all about the victims...victims articles should be written separately..

They charge him with this they settle for this conviction when it comes time. He gets nothing to speak of. You will never hear that the DA let him go at a later date. If he has been in trouble before alot why isn't he in prison for all the other stuff. That just the way the system works get ready for it.

Sure don`t mean to downplay the Hobbs` loss but why is there not an equal focus on the Blagg`s loss? And a pat on the back to law enforcement for catching this guy.

It appears that this man showed a reckless disregard for the safety of the people around him. I guess that sort of thing is ok to you? Whether or not his car hit anyone or didn't doesn't mean that his careless and selfish actions didn't cause death of the other people. If this man is indeed the one who went around the other car like a nut, causing a chain reaction of horrible events, and didn't even stop to render aid, then I say he is guilty. He had to have seen the accident occur. Obviously he felt guilty of something, otherwise he would have stopped. Actually, I think you just like heated debates.

The accident wouldn't have happened if the dude in jail hadn't tried to pass in the first place.

No one is down playing the loss of the Blagg Family. The Hobb's are just more vocal & in your face about it. They vowed from the beginning to never give up until the person THAT CAUSED the accident would be brought to trial. As for the events that actually caused the accident, there are facts that cannot be aired until the trial. I know this first hand. Let's let the courts & a jury of our peers decide the fate of the accused.

This website give twice as much information about the arrest and actually explains why the charges are for 2nd degree murder. Hope this clarifies quite a bit for everyone like it did for me. http://www.taylornews.org/mcc

Tulsa Rick, I asked the same thing and just got a rude response but no real answer. Anytime there is a follow-up on this story, it is about Mr. Hobbs. There is always a small reference that two other people were killed in the accident but the Blaggs aren't even mentioned by name. I feel sorry for both families and I am so glad to see that justice might finally be served. However, I think that the news media should remember that there were two families affected by this horrible tragedy and not focus on the loss of just one person but on the loss of all three people.

No where in story does it indicate he was drunk, it does however show this man made a horrible mistake and is going to pay for it. You can speculate until your blue in the face it doesnt change that fact that there are alot of people hurting over this, and unfortunately with todays technology anyone can look up anyone's past and make judgement on someone they know nothing about. My sympathy goes out to all families involved during this difficult time.

I've noticed that people are more impatient... they can not wait 10 seconds for a car to pass they pull right out in front of them etc...What is it with people these days... don't they know that they are endangering their lives and others... or are they high on something... or dui??
