Let's ee.. I'll start with quote from you Dumb..(nice screen name, it fits you well) "You small minded, racist, old people from Kansas; The Republican Party will be no more in ten years if they don't get with the times. The majority of America voted for change and that's exactly what we're getting." 52% may be a majority, but its hardly a mandate. With peole like you and there are many, there is always going be opposition to the leftwing moonbats that seem to be controlling he Democrat Party. Do you think we give a rats @$$ about the Republican or Democrat parties? This is about what's right. What we believe... "old people from Kansas" Is this what we have to look forward to from the youth of America? Disrespect. I doubt it, you and those like you are a minority. Nobody mentioned Obama's race, except you.. What difference does his race make? Who cares? Oh, that's right. Play the race card when all else fails. For your info the Democrats took over the Congress over 6 years ago... So where did you get the idea "REPUBLICANS were in power the last EIGHT years"? Maybe you need to get a little more "ejication" before you start arguing with "old people". You seem to be a little short on facts. I agree with the last part of your post though, All is well, people are watching, some seeing what they did not see during the campaign and they speaking up and making their voices heard. |

24 you and Dumb are the only ones mentioning race... Is that all you got? If I'm pi$$in you off, maybe I'm making you think. If so, then I can proclaim "mission accomplished". Have a good day young 'un. Don't forget to smile and say thank you to a vet. They made it possible for you and I to even have this discussion. |

And usually when someone wins the "championship" they take full credit for their win and don't spend their game time whining about how they "inherited" their bad moves! If you want to be a winner then take credit for your win and learn from the failures of those that went before you and that you make yourself. You're either a winner or a whinner, I only the see the latter in the White House right now. If the "champ" wants to be a winner then he has to own his game, not spend his time blaming the previous game and previous players for why he isn't scoring better in the current one! The presidency isn't a game, it would do your "champ" some good to figure that out, SOON! We actually expect him to do his best when the "game" starts, not in the advertising leading up to the playoffs. All he won was a place on the team, now he's expected to perform. If this is the best he's got.....well, perhaps he needs cut from the team before he destroys the whole team!!! I personally plan to do my part to see that his ass is at least "benched" for the next round in 2010. He's got too many players with the oppurtunity to call too many of the shots. |

Ok, mr. I take everything out of context... In your quote of me, you failed to mention the fact that I said Bush started the problem, but Obama took it to an extreme. If you are going to quote someone you should at least take the entire statement and maybe try to figure out what it is they meant before you inacurately quote them. Now as for the "8 years" Bush controlled this country... umm he did not have a republican congress and senate, which are actually what control the country, the president is basically final say and the face we put forward as the "leader". This president has had a dem. congress, a dem. senate and have passed EVERYTHING they wanted to and NONE of it is doing what it was intended. NONE of the promises are being kept, except the change part (and that doesn't appear to be approved by the majority of Americans) Pres. Bush had a fight with dems in office from the outset and urged them on many occassions to put bills through he could sign on many issues. He got delays and porkbarrel type bills in which the only way he could get what he wanted done was to have a bunch of B.S. he didn't agree with attached to it. It's a game, and he had to rely on his opponents to try to score points. This pres. has the majority in the house and the congress that agree with his basic mindset and they are passing legislation left and right that is not working, and destroying the America we love and the values that made us the superpower we are. Now, if you have a comment not relating to Bush, and not attacking myself or hi lee, that actually has merit in regards to something posative the president and his czar loving power grab has done then, please do share... |

1 Alright, so what ideas did Republican leaders in Congress have when the fight for the stimulus package was on? They had absolutely nothing, all they were focused on was saying no. I'm going to share a quote from John Mccain, the Republican running for the presedency of the United States. Please note this was said on September 15th, 2008. "Our economy, I think, is still -- the fundamentals of our economy are strong." --Jacksonville, Fla., Sept. 15, 2008 This proves Republicans had no real solution to fixing our economy; saying no was their priortiy. All the lies and scare tactics used by the republicans over health care is showing Americans what the right really wants, and that is their prized health insurance companies to suceed in any way possible. I feel really bad for Republicans next year. Another thing, hi lee: Have a good day young 'un. Don't forget to smile and say thank you to a vet. They made it possible for you and I to even have this discussion. You said i pulled the race card, it's funny how every Conservative tries to make a Liberal sound "un-american" Too bad there are thousands of our troops buried because of a President that invaded a country with no evidence of WMD. That's correct, George Bush lied to every single American. You aren't making anyone mad. The most popular conservative on radio has been known to say the following quotes; this is why race is an issue with the Republican Party. Rush Limbaugh "Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it." "The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies." "We need segregated buses… This is Obama’s America." If you need sources for any of these, please let me know. Let's see anyone try to defend these quotes full of hatred for another race. |

Guess that makes Obama a racist.. Since we know how he feels about "typical white person"s. We know what he thinks of people who "cling to their guns and religion" (Christian religion).
What problem do you have with thanking a vet.. If that comment made you feel un-American, don't blame me. We also know Bill Clinton stated during his term that someone would have to take Saddam down. If not then, then later. Al Gore at the end of the first gulf watr said George H.W. didn't finish the job... Then when Bush #2 did finish it said he was playing on our fears.. You can't have it both ways.. The left tries, but don't mean you can. Actually I could put a couple of the quotes you cite into context, but what's the use? You have a mindset, and I doubt if anything will cahnge it. |

Dumb has a point in saying that the administration under Bush left us in a huge mess....a mess Obama is stuck trying to clean up. and yes, he's having some problems getting on his feet here.

From one vet to another then, thank you |

Look, you are so far off base it's rediculous. I appriciate you trying to debate issues, but the arguement is a little weak. #1 The republicans said "NO" because the bill was 1,200 pages spending $700,000,000,000.00 (yes, that's the right amount of zeros). Any person with any common sence would say "no" to that kind of spending, without any way to pay for it and nobody understaning exactly what it is that it's being spent on. I'm not going to defend Rush as he is a radio personallity and the more controvercial his comments the more fame he gets. He doesn't control my country or make decisions that affect me. |
None of us argue that he was left some issues, but so was bush, so was reagen, so was clinton, so was bush 2... The point is, after a year in office they still keep mentioning what was "inherited". The point is these other presidents didn't do that. The put the nose to the grind did what they could and most importantly accepted resposnability for what is now there presidency. Obama expressed urgancy in passing the stimulas which was suppose to save the day. Guess what it's not. It's losing our country more than it's making and that's not going to change. Big government, more regulations, more government involvement in the private market, more bailouts, and more welfare and government run programs like health care are not any way to help the economy. |
Hi lee, on Obamas past what exactly do you mean?
Hi lee, you do have a point on unnecessary pork in the bill...but that doesn't mean you don't get anything accomplished. You don't just sit on your hands and wait for something to happen. Do you not understand there are people being denied coverage and are dying as a result of that?
He means Obama did nothing in the senate when he was there. He has done basically nothing in his political career. I might be speaking out of turn, but that's what I think whenever I think of obamas past. except the black power, anti-Amarican, white man hating church he was part of in which he said the outspoken pastor was his spiritual mentor. |

"except the black power, anti-Amarican, white man hating church he was part of in which he said the outspoken pastor was his spiritual mentor."
Cool since you spoke for hi lee i'll take your word for it. So, You say Obama did nothing as a senator, so the only thing you (hi lee) can be talking about as far as his past would be the "basically nothing" your friend cool said he did as a senator? Oprah went to the exact same church for two years. I know, you're going to come back with "Oprah left the church because of the hate speech." Newsweek magazine reported a long time friend of Oprah's said "Oprah is a businesswoman, first and foremost." "She's always been aware that her audience is very mainstream, and doing anything to offend them just wouldn't be smart. She's been around black churches all her life, so Reverend Wright's anger-filled message didn't surprise her. But it just wasn't what she was looking for in a church." There are many churches around the country with pastors that speak with the same outspokenness. I'll bet none of you stopped watching Oprah in your households. |

Here is a story on the Bush vs Obama deficit...
http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/... This is only one article... Some will claim it is racist or the author is a Fox stooge even though he is not affiliated with Fox. Of course CNN (the original) is not going to tell you these things. Obama's claim of inheriting anything are really getting old. |
I'm going to say once again. Oprah is just like Rush, they are personallities that do not make decisions regarding my well being and financial situation. I could care less about Oprah, Rush, Beck, O'riely, or any other non elected celebrity you want to bring up. First of all, I don't watch Oprah because I think she's a feminest and a bit of a racist. She is not outspoken in public about it, but she shows little hints of it. Anyhow, Oprah doesn't run the country. Rush doesn't run the country. I could care less of their beliefs. Obama does run this country and uses his beliefs to push his agenda. |
I stopped watching Oprah when she refused to have Palin on but endorsed Obama |
