Good sleeves, fun miniature players, owner looks pissed off all the time though. Wouldn't want to make it my usual gaming store, would rather spend my money somewhere nicer like the castle.

This store is awesome. The posters brief experience was pretty much since the week they opened. He was banned because he was a creeper to almost every girl that entered the building. The manager finally had to say something. He is writing this because he felt discriminated against? That is laughable, there are customers there of every sex, color and orientation. Maybe he feels oppressed because he abuses children? From what I understand that had nothing to do with it, but I'm glad he is not Allowed to frequent a place where other kids hangout. It is bad enough he works at a local pizza place where there are kids everyday.

Upon first entering it seems like a nerd wonderland but as you get to know the people around the shop and get a feel for the atmosphere you quickly realize that this shop has a very clique set environment where if your not a usual customer you immediately feel alienated. Although the older woman who works there on occasion is nice, you will find livelier help and friendlier customer service at a prison help desk than you will with the other workers who run the shop. The merchandise is a little above average for a lower class MTG shop but the quality of atmosphere is deplorable at best when you consider the fact that several of the usuals that enter there smell like they haven t bathed in weeks. To add a final spin on this would have been interesting card and comic shop, my brief experiences there have been around people who are racial insensitive, morally devoid, judgmental, hypocritical, and very segregative. I personally wouldn t recommend this shop to anyone who doesn t already spend 200$ or more a month there or at the very least have a well built resistance to sub par environments.

The first two reviews were written by a young man who was asked not to go back to the store because of inappropriate behavior. Apparently he spent the rest of the day posting hate.
The store has an amazing selection of both new and out of print hard to find table top games. They take selected games in great condition on consignment, so you can get much more than you could elsewhere! They have Magic the Gathering cards in three different languages, World of Warcraft, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and more by the pack, box, and even a ton of singles.

There is a terrific store library of tabletop games for anyone to come in and use for free at any of the many game tables. The store hosts many different types of Role Playing Games, Magic the Gathering drafts on Fridays at 7p and Sundays at 4p. If you have a game you'd like to learn the very friendly employees or the other customers are almost always willing to take the time to teach you. This family owned and run store is the inspiration of a Navy veteran and his son, and is a wonderfully friendly place to shop for Geek gift items such as Dr. Who merchandise, fun t-shirts, art, jewelry, and more. They also have a miniature war gaming room and a ton of terrain that are available for free use anytime, and a shelf full of model building tools, glues, and paints available to use. There is a terrific selection of war gaming models, paints, and tools from both Games Workshop and Citadel, and anything they don't have they are more than happy to order for you.
There is a LAN computer gaming room with high speed high graphic gaming computers, and an X Box and PS3 nook.
This shop is a wonderful and friendly place to hang out, play games, purchase gifts and games, find people with similar interests, and indulge in your inner geek! Come in on your lunch break, before or after school or work, and grab a quick game and meet friends.

Hmm Jason, pretty sure your name is really Nathan and that you have been banned from the Castle and Geek World.

Play here often. Owner is a nice fellow, manager can be difficult at times. Overall thou it is a good place to hang out. As a previous poster said, there are games galore to play and alot of free games as well.

As to the posting about clique. There are cliques here as with any place one goes. If your decent and not a total twit you'll be welcomed here. Racial? Really? When? Get a grip.

It's a shame rightful and just posts get deleted so often. But I guess that's the way the internet works huh 'proud customer'? Only room for hate. After all, his post was a viable review, and one I would completely agree with. My experiences were terrible with this store. The service is LESS than sub-par, the atmosphere reeks of body odor and I'd swear there customers are sailors because the language I hear is despicable. It's outrageous that a place like this remains open when there are far better shops in town. I would far prefer Ground Zero Comics or The Castle over Geek world any day of my life. Not to mention, I don't know of any 'kids' that go to geek world, and I certainly wouldn't take mine there. I would not reccomend this store to anyone. Especially when they delete reviews of people because they're actually negative.

There is indeed a clique. it's called "20 something nerds who are angry at the world". Are the standards for decency as despicable as the standards of customers that frequent this shop? I may not have heard racial remarks, but I wouldn't put it past some of there regulars...

I love how you so willingly attack this person for posting there thoughts and opinions believing him to be someone he OBVIOUSLY is not. The "Nathan" fellow you speak of already had his post deleted. more than that he certainly wouldn't right a decent review and end by reccomending one of the places he's kicked out of. This place is meant to review geek world, not hate on other reviewers. As my review stands, geek world is still despicable using shady business tactics in an attempt to get around the law. I would much rather take my business elsewhere.

Good selection of merchandise. Decent place to play. Only drawback is it is very hard to get service as the counter help is usually playing and ignoring customers unless you hassle them repeatedly.
