Who Cares

I think everyone in Texas has already read that book online already. That stuff happened so long ago in the 70's, who really cares anymore. A few of the druggies are still in Tyler with their own businesses and most of the law enforcement are dead or senile. Worst stuff than that happenes here everyday. Can't imagine why they went to such lenghts to stop the book from being read. It was schocking in it's time I guess, but now it just seems kind of hokey.

Sounds like every other town in those years, there are other sides to all stories, people have the ability to switch things around to suit them selves, and they do!

The book is what the movie "RUSH" was made from. The mobile home park where most of it took place is that big one on Shiloe Rd. and the apartment complex where the main drug busts took place was the old Rasberry Ridge. The main crooks that lied to bust those kids are still lawyers in Tyler. The girls that stole from the
South Tyler homes to support their drug habit, while the owners were in church have a business in town. It's all in the book along with pictures. Pretty good reading actually. Don't know why they went to such lengths to keep people from reading it, it's not that big a deal. Hell, everyone in 78 was doing it all. Tyler was just really uptight about everything except what the politicians were doing.

Click on the link above and read the page that comes up, "About This Edition" and it tells the lengths the law enforcement went to to stop the book from being read. So ridiculous.

What is it with you and jellybeans anyway? Why don't you tell us all why you do that. Were you a jellybean in a previous life? Did you stick jellybeans up your nose as a kid and you've sprouted jellybean vines in your brain? I just can't figure out what kind of person would write such a goofy thing on all of your posts.......
Here's something you might enjoy!
Jelly Bean Fudge!!
It has a white chocolate base, a subtle coconut flavor, and is crammed with colorful, fruity jelly beans.
Ingredients:
2 cups (12 oz) white chocolate chips
2 cups jelly beans YUM!
1 (16 oz) can vanilla frosting
1 tsp rum extract
1 tsp coconut extract
Preparation:
1. Prepare an 8-inch square cake pan by lining it with aluminum foil.

2. Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 40-second increments until melted, stirring in between.

3. Stir in the extracts and the vanilla frosting, and mix until well-combined. Allow to sit and cool for several minutes.

4. Reserve 1/4 cup of jelly beans. Stir the rest into the fudge, and spread the fudge in the prepared pan, smoothing the top.

5. Sprinkle the reserved beans on top of the fudge, pressing them lightly into the top.

6. Refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour.

I was a thirteenth century jellybean maker in a previous life. Jellybeans are joyful. This world needs more joy. Thank you for the recipe.

It's very relevant in 2010. The book is behind glass at a Tyler bookstore for $300. And the sheriff? Yeah. HE IS STILL THE SHERIFF!

Why do people believe that just because someone, whether elected or appointed or whatever, makes them actually qualified for the job?

This stuff happens every day. All it takes for evil to go on is for all of us to remain silent. And we do.

Actually, the author & publisher were under so much pressure & in such a bog hurry to get it published, that they did not even send it to an editor.

Typical Smith County.

The Cantrells plead the 5th to molesting foster kids and the locals never hear it.

A few typos in a book and they're ready to burn it.

It's difficult to read the truth when it goes against someones sexual fantasies. You're attempting to burst their bubble Knows a lot, and they just ain't gonna have it.
