Geese, some things need to be private, I'm sure if you ever made a mistake, you may not want the world knowing. Why do we blame, blame, blame? I'm sticking with channel 7!

not me,

not me.

Screw channel 7, the way they are acting like not a thing is different. Scirto and Joe Terrell look so stupid sitting up there giving the news making lame jokes and trying so hard to act like absolutely nothing is wrong with that picture. Idiots, they would gain a lot more respect if they would SAY SOMETHING ABOUT GILLIAN BEING GONE!!

Region 56 is a very good news station. Give them a try, I am.(even tho they went silent when Milissa Lanear dissappeared overnight) Think I'll go to channel 19.

Well, I smell a rat in the woodpile. Rat pile being Joe T and Mark S. Gillian such a fine lady; she deserves better than this. Definitely not watching 7 anymore.

She didn't get along with Bob Brackeen and was acting kind of unprofessional. She did a live phone report from the trial of that guy who shot the state troupers - she went on and on for about 3 or 4 minutes!

KLTV News is not the same without Gillian. Her Joe & Scirto made the news. Regardless how bad the news when it was over they always had you smiling. I'll have to go to Channel 19 or 56 for mine. I think channel 7 handled that situation very badly to the viewers that supports them. Thanks but no thanks for a new comer. We want Gillian back.Bottom Line.

What a shame. It seems like that's the nature of the business. I'm sure we'll see her soon.

It's too bad when newscasters (and Morgan the weatherman) just keep disappearing from Channel 7. Losing Christine Nelson was really unfortunate, and Gillian seemed like the bridge that held the station together. Such a reliable and professional person she was. What's wrong with just leveling with your audience? Maybe it's time to depart channel 7 and find another newscast to get attached to. If you aren't being honest about your staff, how do we know you're being honest with the news??

Chanel 56 and Channel 19 are pretty underhanded, too. Michelle Jordan wanted to get out of her contract since her husband and twin children moved to Dallas. They said no - she had to stay.

It IS the nature of the business. It's for profit like anything else, and if they can save money or make things look smooth on tv that is what matters, not the individuals who work for the stations or the few viewers that cry out.

If it is bad here, imagine how bad it is in bigger places like NY, LA, Chicago, Houston, etc. Only, in the bigger places you expect it to be bad!

Maybe she wanted more money. Maybe it was all about her and no one else. No matter what, it's a shame. Who's doing Gift of Love now?

We emailed Joe Terrell about Gillian and this is the reponse we got! "Gillian is no longer with the station. I canít go into details since it is a private matter, but we wish her and her family all the best in the future. Because of the privacy issue, we could not make an announcement on-air."
So that's that.

I heard she was fired because of her attitude with people around her.

Maybe it was a health issue with her or a member of her family. Due to HIPPA laws you can't say squat about health related issues w/o consent of the party.

It doesn't really matter why she left. It does seem a bit odd that the station could not have found SOME way to acknowledge she - or any other personality who leaves the station - was not returning, rather than letting everyone sit around and wonder if she was sick or coming up with other conjecture about why she and the others who leave precipitously are no longer in their chairs.

Personally, I'm kinda glad she's gone. I never believed she was geniune, anyway. She always came across to me as trying to find some way to inconspicuously wriggle her way into the story. Anchors and not the story and shouldn't try to be.

I'm looking forward to seeing who's next. And I won't leave KLTV. I tried that a few years ago when they made me REALLY angry with the way they handled an ongoing story and discovered that if I want in-depth coverage centered on East Texas, KLTV is it.

19 is getting better but I can't watch them much because they have a really annoying sound system.

KETK is also getting better, but I'm sticking with KLTV for comprehensive coverage.

Management has changed and is running the place into the ground, and whomever at the station speaks their opinions of dislike disappear. Enough said.

I miss her more and more everyday, but I look up to her for her resolve and standing up for herself. If you notice, she isn't the only one leaving or who has been let go.

Joe Terrell and Kenny Boles (the news director) are completely out of control at that station. Dana Hughey was also treated badly by them, even after they whored out her awful scare with her twins to get a few more viewers and some more clicks on their website. And they know it. If only all the HR complaints could be publicized...in a perfect world.
