So this gets announced by the paper on the morning the meeting is to be held. They don't like the inconvenience of having actual taxpayers from the county getting involved in the process, do they?

Sounds like a way of getting their grubby hands on some extra money that they can spend on items they didn't actually have to put in the budget. Wonder when "jail overcrowding" is going to become an "emergency" again.

Either annual county revenue equals spending or not. What is the problem?
