Tybee Island snake bite puts doctor in ICU
Retired orthopedic surgeon Joe Nettles recently spent two days in the Intensive Care Unit at Memorial University Medical Center after a snake in the pool at his Tybee Island home bit him.

It is worth checking out a site by an organization called Working with Wildlife at www.workingwithwildlifeusa.com if there is a chance that you might come into contact with a snake. The site provides information on snakes, their reaction when they come into contact with people and things you can do to reduce the chance of being bitten by one. They have things like e-Books and online courses for sale and you can even download snake bite first aid instructions from the site for free. It is a really good reference source of information on this topic.
