This city government is so determined to drive businesses and REAL jobs out of town -- and, are so very successful at it -- they will not entertain any idea that might slow down the parade!

So long as retired state Rep. Steve Trimble and his buddies privately take up a collection to buy the land and tower and pay the necessary annual taxes on it, I don't much care. Just leave the taxpayer out of the equation.

The sad part will be the beautiful McKnight conference room that will be torn down in one of the old buildings. Instead of saving a rusty old tower, how about saving a beautiful piece of history that is very pleasing to the eye?

No, please no. Why would you stave off redevelopment to save a useless water tower?
Next thing you know Dave Thune will try to save Xcel's somkestack from the coal plant.

As I said before, it is my personal belief that the residents of Saint Paul must be ignorant, stupid, or both; as they keep electing Mayors and City Council members who do nothing to improve the lives of St. Paul residents. The city is turning into a ghost town, with Highland Park the last island in a city full of run-down neighborhoods and the downtown area the likes of Detroit. Man, I thought we were screwed here in Minneapolis but now I feel better.....
