I am glad he is safe, too, but I hope the next time he goes out hunting etc. he is more prepared if he gets lost. Keeping one's mental kool is good but a compass, map, munchies & water, and pretrip research would have been even better to have for the North woods wilderness. Again, I am glad he is safe but next excursion into the woods I hope he is more prepared for the unexpected wrong turn. Heat! Always bring a lighter. Even if it gets wet, you can dry out the flint enough to get it to work. You have to have heat too!

All is well that ends well,
I was on the search for Mr. Ingram, being a devout grouse hunter I truely know the meaning of getting turned around, having a compass, Gps, a cell phone and some basic knowledge of the area can help but it is easy to still get confused in the great northwoods.
