Twinsburg Stamping Plant: From bright beginning to bleak ending
#1 Jul 23, 2010
So sad, I heard from a reputable source that Chrysler plants including Detroit can't keep up with the work from Twinsburg, so it is being outsourced while hundreds of loyal employees lost their jobs. You who sold out Chrysler (and you know who you are and so do we) I hope you can't sleep at night.

When I passed Chrysler yesterday, the mammoth parking lot was sadly and depressingly empty. But, in the front of the plant, was a black van that had these spray painted words on it: BUY AMERICAN OR BYE BYE AMERICA. So true.

No matter what you buy, it's still sad to see a once great company vacant. It has hurt Twinsburg and surrounding areas significantly. It's not just those that worked there, it is the vendors and other businesses that have suffered. So many vacant businesses and foreclosures in once was a very thriving area. I had heard that Ford Walton Hills was going to move to the Chrysler plant, but that fell through. Now, rumour has it that it will be divided and rented out to individual businesses. But, that's just a rumour. Whatever----it would be nice to see bumper to bumper traffic on Highland at 3:00 p.m. once again.
