Parent's are responsible to make SURE their children are trained in gun safety before allowing them to go out on a hunting trip. It's a little bit hard to fathom a 15 year old did not know how to safely unload a gun if he was out hunting with his dad. I remember being trained in gun safety at age 9 and had to prove over and over I knew the rules of safety before being allowed to go hunting for rabbits and squirrels. lol
Even BB guns are dangerous and parent's should teach their children safety before allowing them to possess one of those.
This forum is not a condolence forum..the funeral home usually offers that..this is to discuss a news story.
This is to discuss a news story yes, and why am I not suprized to find you on yet another forum where someone died in a tragic accident spreading your judgements and filth. Do you only comment on these types of stories or what? This is the 3rd or 4th forum I've come across you bashing anyone you can point fingers at.

1) the boys who accidentally fell through the ice and drowned in the sandusky river.
2) the girl who died while playing in the snow when she fell and hit her head
3) this one

and I know there were a few more, but can't remember the stories.

You apparently are parent of the year and have never made a mistake in your entire life. I just have to tell you, I am so sick of your insensitive ignorant post. Even his fellow fire fighters said saftey was of the utmost importance to him. It was AN ACCIDENT, how dare you assume you know anything about this man.

While he was out there saving peoples lives while putting his life in danger for a living, all you have been doing is sitting behind your computer screen throwing judgements around and pointing fingers and placing blame on families that have had tragic incidents like this affect their lives. This man is probably twice the human being you could ever hope to be. Oh and I know it is for commmenting on the story...blah blah blah..well it is also a forum for people to read posts and let me tell you most of yours are just plain ignorant. Last time I checked only God can judge a person on the level that you try too and you definately are not God.

Tonight I will pray for you that you find compassion, understanding, humbleness, and a greater understanding that things happen in life that aren't always planned or foreseen. There are things called accidents that happen for reasons only God knows. You may be the perfect parent and controlled everything in your and your son and families life, but your heart is cold and your soul is black.

This forum may not be deemed just for condolences, but it's not deemed for ignorant posts either and that didn't stop you!

I much rather read about how people that knew and loved him are sending their sympathies than to read yet another judgemental post from you, a stranger, who obviously knew nothing about this man and how important saftey and the lives and well being of others was to him.

Ty marlin jr. is one of my bestfriends and this just tore him apart so for all of you who think your so cool for putting comments down trying to talk crap **** you. i seen his face the day it happened and it was the most horrifying thing i have ever seen and i just hope he will get better because i really dont want to see him do anything stupid. and kelly your a stupid **** and you dont know **** about anything i know the true story so just shut the hell up cuz you dont hunt. oh and CRL you obviously didnt know the family because they always went hunting and little ty did know how to take care of a gun so **** you! just think how you would feel if it happened to you, it was completely an accident and no one saw it coming so just shut the hell up. im so sorry ty we will all miss you. im so sorry for the marlin family too i will be at the funeral and i will help you all through it so dont even listen to these idiots who dont even know what happened.
While your message to the Marlin family is heartful, your language to those who oppose hunting leaves something to be desired. I know you're upset, but you don't have to cuss people out who don't agree with you. This is America and everyone is entitled to his/her opinion; even the anti-hunting people.

BONDING??!!! Yeah, let's go kill some animals, sons! Go ahead and take care of this shotgun that you have no business even touching! Great father/son time!
Kelly - regardless of how we feel about guns and hunting (I for one am 100% against it), it doesn't help the family left behind to say things that will only hurt them more. Bottom line, they lost a father and have a son that will live with this for the rest of his life. Have a heart.

You are an idiot! Why would you post a cruel comment like that when there is a family, two communities and friends grieving right now. Don't let the kids touch glass - it might break; don't ride in a car - it might wreck; don't use a knife - it might slip; don't play sports - they might get hurt and the list goes on. If you can't express compassion, keep your mouth shut!
I think He/She/or It is one of the leftist, liberal, socialist types that have no problem using a tragedy like this to advance their gun ban agenda.

Judge much? That's what is so disgusting about newfound born agains like you. You go around spewing the bible, yet you forget to apply it to yourself.

Why do people on this post constantly have to place judgement on others? Can't you just give your condolences and leave it at that? I don't condone hunting either, but you can't go putting blame on the mother for what was clearly an ACCIDENT. Like the other poster said, kids can fall, hit their heads, get cut by glass, get hurt in sports, ect....Unless you can say that you are the "perfect" parent, keep your negativity to yourself!
kids falling, hit their heads, cut by glass are "accidents", but, when you "put" a gun in a childs hands? some "accidents" can be preventive.

no it's just makes me sad to put guns into children's hands, that's all. fathers and son's can bond in other ways. they don't have to go out and shoot animals. go to a ballgame or gee, maybe go for a ride or walk and just talk. don't need to kill with guns.

That's not judgemental that's defending the victim against people like her that come in just to bash people and declare her righteousness. It was an accident, just like all the other ones I stated. Maybe if it were your family or loved one you'd appreciate it. I don't NEED to judge her. Her insensative words and judgemental comments speak for themselves. I am just stating I am sick of her posts and lack for compassion for her fellow human beings. I'm allowed to have my opinion, just as much as she's allowed to bash this family because of their love of hunting and their chosen way to bond as a father and son. Freedom of speech applies to everyone, not just the posters you agree with. Why don't you grow up and get over it. If it bothered this poster...she can defend herself...doesn't need your help. Trust me, we have already encountered each other before.
