Great but now, how long will he sit on death row? 20-25 years while we, the taxpayers pay for him to stay alive?? Take him down now...shoot him square in the forehead like he did to Josh!

Glad he's getting the death penatly. I bet he's sorry for asking for it now. I hope they make him sit in jail for a few years suffering before putting him down (like the dog he is)!!! It's a great day in Akron!!!!

Victory!! No other sentence that is allowed to be imposed would be appropriate. I hope each day in prison prior to his death is filled with misery. He excuted Josh in cold blood. I'm sure Casual Observer will tell us all what an injustice this is. Justice has been served, and I am pleased to see Josh's family feels the same. Nothing can bring Josh back, but knowing his killer is on the highway to H*e*l*l helps. Rot away, Ashford! Rot away.

We always hear "he was a good boy" we never hear "he was good with a gun" too! A life for a life is my motto and it's cheaper for the taxpayer too!

Amen! He will get his just reward in prison and then at death in hell. Thou shalt not kill is what the bible says. He showed no mercy and none will be given to him.

hopefully the death row sentence confines him to a small cell 23 hours a day

in general population- he would be praised by fellow inmates

Unfortunately, this ape will get to swing on his tire and throw feces at the guards for the next 20 years.

I do not under any circumstances believe in the death penalty. He will be around for the next 20-25 yrs of appeals. I do believe in life, no parole, and solitary confinement. No visitors, or outside contact with the exception of an attorney or clergy.

Shoot and kill a cop ... Get the needle, no more explanation needed. And the punishment is rightly deserved.

Judge not, lest ye be judged...
The Bible also says that. We are not the ones determining if he's going to heaven or hell or what his relationship with God is. Guest, you have a point but solitary confinement is a bit much. No visitors etc.
But the prison system has more amenities than I can afford. I do not believe in death penalty...killing is killing...and killing him is doing the same as he did.

The sentence should be carried out before the weekend to send a swift message to everyone else that the justice system is fair and swift.

Standard procedure to set the execution in one year. The appeals process forces it to be delayed. Appeals in death cases are mandatory.

Hopefully, this boytoy of Casual Observer's will refrain from silly appeals like he's allergic to the death serum and take his punishment like a man.
