Please believe me, I am not minimizing the death of anyone. There are many stories today about sentences being handed down in murders, some absolutely ridiculously low. I am just wondering why because it is a police officer there is no "wiggle room" for a plea deal. I don't condone any off the plea deals in the other stories, just wondering why because it was a police officer, the standards are different.

I for one believe that a police officer deserves more respect for his life than a drug dealer, and therfore someone committing a crime against a PO does not deserve any "wiggle" room

state law provides for higher penalties (the death penalty) when a police officer is killed in the line of duty. don't like it, vote out your legislators.
until then, educate yourself on the law.

If he has been convicted of this crime he should be taken immediately out back and shot until dead. Don't waste our taxpayer money on this turd by letting him sit in prison for the better part of the next 20 years before we put him to death. Do it now and get it over with. I will provide the ammo. Hell, I'll smoke check the bass turd for the state if they want me to.
