Typical lazy A$$ DA take the easy way next the guy will get a plea agreement.
He should be executed in the court room right away.

OK Bill, tell us which of the aggravating circumstances that the law specifies are applicable to the facts in this case?

First Degree murder should be autimatic death peanlity case but the DA is to lazy to go after it.

That absolutely is NOT the law in Pennsylvania. Laws are written by the legislature, not the DA. It makes no sense to criticize the DA for following the law. If he tried to file a death penalty notice in this case, the court would immediately and correctly throw it out.

I really wish they had sought the death penalty. It certainly would have saved Schaeffer the trouble of doing it to himself, which was what he was planning on doing before he killed her. He should have appreciated the death penalty, considering that he was suicidal prior to taking Emily's life. Hey, jerk - you should have just killed yourself!

Only if the world had more Robert Silversteins. I command the Silverstein family from turning a tragedy into an opportunity for the future.

It's a tragedy that resonates among those who knew Emily. But for those of you who immediately respond with a violent answer, you couldn't have known Emily. Our family did. Well enough to know that she would not want the punishment many people prescribe. The Silversteins are all a peace loving family. We should all try to honor Emily's legacy and focus on making this a better world than to purposefully choose violence in the name of justice.

What would I do if it were one of my children? Honestly, I don't know. But it certainly gives me pause to think and make each day a better, more peaceful day while I can.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
