I am not sure which Harvest Foods you are referring to but Affiliated Foods, who is most likely or was most likely their supplier filed bankruptcy, so a lot of the stores in Arkansas are in trouble becuase of them, you will probably see more of this because of the bankruptcy. The way I see it, the local stores are not to blame, it is crooked Affiliated.

If the store cared aqbout its customers they would have found new suppliers. Im sure other stores had to do that to keep going. I cant make the drive to clinton hoping they will have a gallon of milk or something might be on sale.

Linda I agree with you but Affiliated somehow owes the inventory or part of it in most of the stores, and some of these stores are under some sort of contract with Affiliated and couldn't just get another supplier but the ones that could have, like Craven's in Fairfield Bay. But is is my opinion that Harvest Foods in Clinton was already on the decline before this happened.

It's looking much better in there now. Cleaner than ever and the shelves are pretty well stocked again. I think the name is going to change to Thriftway or something like that. At least it is owned by locals.

thank you greenbrier agent whoever you are saying that about our little town, yes we do need a store here and this community would benefit from it and if someone would take the time to help someone get started on having a store or something I believe the people of twin groves would help out,we have good people here and they are always willing to help out.we have a wonderful mayor and clerk who is always willing to help or suggestions.

I go in this store some on weekends and try to shop here or at Craven's as much as possible to support local merchants. They have a pretty good selection of things now and new aisle signs are going up and the inside is being repainted. It actually looks pretty good right now.

Paul Bone was the original owner of ( thriftway ) of course and then Harvest Foods bought him out, well harvest foods was filing for bankruptcy and Paul Bones son ( Steve Bone ) has bought it back from harvest foods and he has found new suppliers for the store. I think it is going to be a good store now
