Started first grade in Long Barn in 1947. Moved to Missouri in Dec.1954. Just wondering if anyone still living in that area was in school at that time. Some of the surnames I can remember are; Armstrong, Cover, Cromer, Hitch, Miller,Guinn, and Purdy, All would be in their late 60's now. Would love to hear from any of you.

Looking for history of Long Barn and, came across the history of Dodge Ridge Resort. I didn't know that Carl Purdy was the one who started building it. Their were several comments by his sons,George and Ralph Purdy. Ralph was in the same grade as I. George was a year or two older. Their mother Mary, was one of my teachers. She called me by my middle name of Leo, because, there were other boy's named Tom in her room. The school at that time consisted of two rooms. One room for grades, 1 thru 4 and, one for grades, 5 thru 8 .

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Gemini

Your eleventh house of friends and associates is activated by the Moon in Aries and it's time to go out and play with your friends. Even the Twins, who have been somewhat reclusive lately, will benefit from socializing tonight. A sense of relief will take hold when you realize that no one really has a better life than you. Sure, it might seem like someone else has a more glamorous existence, but if you could be a fly on the wall in their bedroom, you'd find they have nightmares, too!
