This state needs a voice to identify those who we suspect are drawing disability - social security by fraudulent means and doctors who conspire with them. The latest statistics show that just two years ago the nation had around 350,000 added to the disability roll, just last year approximately 750,000 were added, and predictions for this year are over 1 million will be added to the rolls of those receiving disability. This way of life is the fastest growing source of revenue in America. The abuse of Disability must stop to help save America. Our Nations economy is failing and we can not continue to financially support people who just don't want to work. It takes those who care about our Nation's financial state to take an active role and report those who we suspect are committing disability fraud. You are encouraged to also report any you suspect on the Muskogee and Oklahoma City Forums to ensure those who are suspected are investigated. And you need to provide as much information as you know or have seen to assist with any investigation. This can be done anonomously. Those dealing with disability fraud in the Social Secuirty Department need to be more accountable in investigating and it is sad that forums have to be created to ensure they are doing their jobs.

I was in the dark regarding social security disability, until I came across http://www.ultimatedisabilityguide.com/ . It helped me understand what factors went into being eligible or not. To see that so many people are taking advantage of this system is extremely frustrating, especially knowing that people who really need it are being rejected.

Some one seriously needs to look into fraud in Louisiana. People who do not need it have been collecting it for years to the tune of thousands. Setting up multi families using kids to get more money, its shameful all that money and no one seems to care about looking into it, its a joke. I have seen people apply who really are disabled and they get rejected while the crooks get all the money. I think its an inside job in Louisiana can somone please look into this and stop worrying about who is smoking pot, no one cares and the tax payers want their money back NOW !!

I've seen those who were sick get denied and die a month after finally getting approved.

I've seen sick
homeless people wait two years, or three years.

And I've seen lazyass breeders who live off the state their entire adult life and then claim mental illness when the AFDC starts to dry out.

Somehow I suspect you can relate.

I agree, I know someone in Minden, Louisiana who has been on SSI for nearly 20 years for alleged mental problems, but this person doesn't go to a therapist, is on no medication for a mental disorder....but simply collects a government check each month for being "crazy."

Then, sadly, I knew someone who had stomach cancer and his claim was repeatedly denied. He eventually died, while they are giving it to this cheat who is faking a mental illness

Evidently you have angered some of the local goobers with past comments....but to your statement about the inequity of the system, one doesn't have to be a genius to figure out it is corrupted.

Why else would so many ambulance chasing lowyers be advertising on bottom feeder channels for more disabled people?

My personal experience was when my father in law eventually died from emphysema and lung cancer and was required to work until he dropped because SS Disability automatically turns down deserving people....and allow crooked lowyers/doctors represented thieves pass.

Yes we have epidemic Medicare and Medicaid fraud, and nobody has benefited from it as much as the medical providers and states filing false claims for goods and services not provided, or in the case of the states for clients that don't exist,("ghost children").
But the providers are fined, start a new business and do it again, while the states acts are ignored.

And another...

Under a set of confidential agreements, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges will pay $300,000 to settle allegations that it committed fraud to get grant money from the U.S. Department of Justice, while its director will pay $16,500 to settle conflict-of- interest charges.

The Justice Department charged that the council falsified employee time sheets, billed the federal government for work by "ghost" employees, failed to disclose that it hired the spouses of employees and fired a worker who questioned those practices, according to settlements filed this month in U.S. District Court in Reno, Nev.

But mum is the word: The Justice Department and lawyers for the council and executive director said they could not discuss details of the settlements because they’re confidential, and could not discuss why they’re confidential.

Youth Today obtained a copy of the settlement with the council.

Council President Judge Susan B. Carbon released a statement saying that the council "did not admit liability," but that the council "takes these allegations seriously and has reviewed its administrative and training policies to insure that the Justice Department will not have such concerns again."

The council has received $97 million in federal grants since 1985, according to a Justice Department summary of the case, including several grants since the department filed the lawsuit in 2005 under the Civil False Claims Act. Many if not most of its grants come from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

According to that lawsuit and the settlement with the council, the Justice Department claimed that the council:

* Collected grant funds by billing for fictitious workers, double-billing for overhead and filling out employee time sheets "to meet predetermined billing targets, regardless of the actual hours worked on each grant by the employee." Those actions allegedly occurred from 2000 to 2006.

So is it the poor or the middle class committing the most fraud and robbing us blind?
