This is nothing more than a cheap controversial media advertisement for this grand opening Wholes Food store. Very degrading to the Vietnamese people when all they have left by the French invasion memories are Cafe Sua Da and Banh Mi sandwiches. I've wondered why would the Vietnamese embraced a French culture/enemy that invaded their land, killed and raped their people. The Spanish too invaded Philippines but do you see the Filipinos in America opening up Tacos and Burritos restaurants/stand on any street corners?

True to some degree. The French help with architecture, foods, Catholicism and helped create the alphabet system for Vietnamese language (Alexander De Rhodes). And so what if there are Viet restaurants on every corner, they are business owners and tax payers. At least Vietnamese were strong enough to keep their vietnamese sur names and not lose their identities as philipinos did to the spanish sur names.

I do not have a problem with Viet restaurants as you called it. I only have a problem with French restaurants that is owned and operated by a Vietnamese.

Are the Vietnamese that stupid? We can't make or invent food and language dialogue on their own? For crying out loud, the Laos and the Cambodians never needed a Western invader to teach them anything lol....

And look where Laos is today? Asking Vietnam for banking education. Vietnam is big brother in southeast. Do you not agree? Vietnam invaded Cambodia in late 70's to save humans from their ruler. Some French were good, France taking over completely was not. Vietnam was an under developed nation and still is... Matter of fact, Vietnamese stole Vietnam from Champa. Who's the thief now?

Get over it man ! Vietnam is China's prostitute.

Regarding theft, You're in America right? This land was stolen too right? Some people just know how to make better use of stolen goods and or land. Your point being? Your analogy sucks dude..
