I would like to introduce to you , my friend, Bibby Simmons, who has been known in my City since he was 7 or 8 years old as THE BLACK ELVIS. Bibby is the ORGINIAL BLACK ELVIS.
Mr Simons has a very nice show which brings happiness to all who see and hear him. He sings Elvis songs and has all his life. Along with his dance routine he has a very delightful show.
The one thing he desires to do is to keep Elvis's songs alive , he is NOT interested in impersonating Elvis , although he does have a couple of Elvis look -a- like suits he dresses in sometimes, while performing.
The sweet little story that is behind this man who is now 42 years old with a family of his own is that his Mother is responsible for it all. Mrs Simmons had 8 children, while raising them she loved to play all of Elvis's music. Bibby grew up hearing them every day of his life. He learned every word of each song when he was very young. Bibby and his Grandpaw would sit on the porch in a rocking chair and sing along with the music, each day . At 7 years old he became known as THE BLACK ELVIS in his neighborhood.
Bibby has performed for years in and around Montgomery, Alabama, he is quite experienced which now, as his Manager, I feel his is ready to go professional. Elvis songs are not all he can do. It is his own voice he uses to sing . He also has a new song written by his Band Leader locally, never heard beyond the shows he does here. It's called " I'll Be The King", a very good song. He has written some himself , one I like personally is one about his Grandpaw, a very tender and loving song !
I do not know all the ins and outs of getting Bibby booked on New York Televison and felt I would give you a try to see if you would invite him to your show. He has done some local Television already. I try never to miss any of his shows. I always leave happy !
I have never known a more deserving man , Black or White, than Bibby who really does deserve a break. He is raising four children (boys) and has a very sweet and wonderful wife.
He grew up as a poor little Black Boy in Alabama who knows how to pick cotton. I will admit what happened to Black Families back then was very shameful. I am White but I have never gone along with the mistreatment of any race.
Bibby is self employed in a Lawn Business.
I want him to become known all over America. Being the ORGINIAL BLACK ELVIS , I have hope he will find work in National TV.
In Las Vegas, in 2003, He won the ENTERTAINER of the year. Recently in England he won the World Trophy ! We in Montgomery are very proud of him !
Bibby Simmons and Charlie Pride chose the two most popular singers America has ever had to keep their music alive. Charlie did Hank Willams in a very fine way , as Bibby does with Elvis. He has a WEB SITE...Bibby Simmons
Please consider very strongly what I am asking for in this mail to you.
Thank you !

Hi everyone!I am here to tell you that Bibby Simmons is the best Black ELVIS I have ever seen.He has been around the world demonstrating what it takes to make it to the top,all you have to do is watch him move and hear his vocals in motion.I've been to some of his shows and they are superb! He's bad and got all the right moves.I dare some of you big time promoters to take a chance and call him up to book him on a show!It will be a show that you won't soon forget!!
