The Tuskegee airman deserve more than what they got. They deserved the respect the white air corpman got but didn't get it. These were fine men. Read there Combat Statistics. Impressive. Something that dispatch should have included in this artical.

Now this is a group of soldiers we can be proud of, even if they are black. They could win a war, unlike the current pansies we have now.

Every generation has it's heroes. Having had the Honor to meet this fine man, I can tell you there are none to compare with him.

One of my favorite memories (there are so many) of Uncle Don, my dad's "kid brother", resulted in my first airplane ride. When I was very young, "Unc" took my cousins (his 2 daughters) and me up in an airplane and flew us around Columbus. I can still remember when he flew over our houses, being amazed at how tiny they looked.

Unc, you are loved and will be missed so much.

Don, was a trooper, to the Ohio Memorial Chapter,
Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. A pass president of the
chapter and a speaker, that for some 38 years told
the history of the Tuskegee Airmen to any and all who needed to know.

My best friend, what a great loss.

I have had the honor of meeting this great man, Don Cummings, on a couple of occasions. I have always admired his tenacity in the face of difficulty. He has influenced and inspired many lives across the generations. He is truly an American hero.

Wow, I've known Don since he and Mildred used to visit Cynthia at Princeton in the 70s. I will miss you. I am so happy that we were able to celebrate your 90th birthday a few months ago. You said it was the best party you had ever had! I loved all the stories that you used to tell me over the years. You live on in all those who have been touched by you. Sweet memories!
