I'm shocked at the comments here. I figured a story like this would have comments that say "bravo" to the Tuskegee Airmen. Instead, it's a bunch of racist trash. Amazing.

Most of the population as a whole would say "bravo." These forums are over-infested with racist trash.

I would think this would be an insult not only to the Tuskegee Airman, but all veterans no matter what color they are...If Obama wasn't elected because of his color, then why are they "coloring" inauguration day?
....because BLACKS ARE DIFFERENT from everyone else....they don't want to acknowledge that they are just as racist as everyone else!..in fact, it's almost o.k. for them to be racist

When is this country going to stop giving preferential treatment to blacks, browns, yellows?....no more excuses blacks: pull up your pants, get a job, and start being fathers to your children (even Obama agrees with me on this point)!!...slavery ended a long time ago, and now that Obama's president...you can't cry about that anymore either

went by the old air field a couple weeks ago and looks like someone is finally going to salvage what is left of it. it has been used as a sand and gravel pit, a concrete pipe plant, a drag strip and who knows what else. hope they are successful with their efforts. tuskeegee needs a shot in the arm because their politicians have destroyed the town.
