I've been thinking of teaching a basic wilderness survival class this spring/summer. things like shelter making, fire making, primitive snares, making alcohol stoves. stuff like that. just not sure if there's a market for it around here

I think that is a gr8 idea! I would be very interested in taking a class. Have you considered incorporating a disaster emergency preparedness segment to demonstrate what to have in a survival kit (products w/multiple uses), general survival skills in an emergency? I think a lot of people could benefit from this knowledge & it would help emergency rescue workers if citizens are more prepared.

If we can survive 3 1/2 more years of Obama, we can probably make it thru most anything.

We survived terms with two Bushes. We can survive anything. Let's just pray brother Jeb doesn't complete the Unholy Trinity.

If that happens, we won't need any guns, knives, or survival skills. We will be swept away in the Rapture. Do they serve beer in heaven?

I too think this is a wonderful idea. It would be helpful to have an idea on how to get practical things together by someone who knows. I would admit I've never erected a tent but topix commentary would have a "field day" with that. LOL
