Man charged in deadly car accident released on bond

TUSCALOOSA | A man charged with murder after a fatal car accident early Tuesday morning was released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail Tuesday night on $71,000 bond.
One of the three surviving victims of the wreck, Joshua Taylor, 20, of Aliceville, was in fair condition at DCH Regional Medical Center on Wednesday.
Jermaine Jones, 22, of Aliceville, was killed in the crash.
Passengers Chase Townsell, 18, of Northport, and Kelvin deGraffenreid, 21, of Aliceville were treated and released from the hospital.
Axton Heath Bond, 20, was charged with murder, four counts of first-degree assault and driving under the influence after the wreck at the intersection of McFarland Boulevard and Watermelon Road in Northport at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said that Bond, of Lucedale, Miss., was driving a Chevrolet Silverado that slammed into the back of a Buick Century that had just begun to enter the intersection after the light turned green.
