Is there a future for the OWD plant in Tupper Lake?

A group citizens and officials from Tupper Lake is considering a feasibility study on potential future uses of the former Oval Wood Dish-Jarden Plastics factory.

There isn't anything up there. I would like to see a box store if possible (Target, Wal-Mart). They do not have to sell groceries, therefore not taking business away from IGA or Sav-A-Lot. Or maybe a mini mall. People closer to Tupper would shop there instead of bringing their business to Plattsburgh.

I have lived in tupper lake for over 45 years, and i am so pissed off about Norman Bobrow STUPID decision. He needs to understand the unemployment rate. If he leased the OWD to any corporation. Not even Wal-Mart. Any place that would open there would help our town bring in money and help employ MANY people. Its ridiculous and he needs to grow a set and grow the FUCK up.
