A whole foods would be better as the stores we have now do not sell much healthy food. It is local mind set to buy cheap and easy.

Face it. No way Whole Foods comes into market this small. Besides, if people can't afford to but "healthy"at a discounter, how do you figger they'll afford it at Whole Foods?

It is a matter of priorities having a healthy life not one of money. It seems people rather not cook so they buy processed food for the same price you could buy raw food.

I don't get your point. If anything a discount grocer gives more opportunity to buy healthy food. I guess you're advocating OUTLAWING foods you don't deem as being healthy? Even China doesn't do THAT.

Poor eating habits increase the problems of the poor and all that pay insurance. Saving on food does not save in the long run. It just makes more poor.

There is objective truth in the form of human body chemistry. Then, there is the lure of advertised food. Apple's apparent move into personal health and fitness could put the two on a collision course.
I can see it now: Soft drink company CEOs lining up in front of a Congressional hearing, under oath, swearing they did not know that high levels of sugar in their products were unhealthy.

Sodas, fruit juices and other sugary drinks sold in California would carry health-warning labels similar to those on packs of cigarettes

I hope they put in a Whole Foods Market in Tupelo! I just came back from visiting the store in Nashville and I would rather shop here..

Even if they did put in a Whole Foods Market I doubt it would get enough business to stay open in this area. Maybe if they opened one in a more populated part of tupelo like near cross town or near the mall where theres allot more drive by traffic.

Anyway i heard a good while back that Winn Dixie had committed to that site behind sprint mart. I also heard it from a good local source that Walmart was going to build across the street on the corner of McCullough and w barns crossing.......... And since yall want to fuss about unhealthy foods why are you not fussing about Krispy Kream going in on West Main? That's far more unhealthy than a grocery store.....
