Justice at last

Finally, some justice has been served!!! Appears certain people in Tupelo and Lee County have a MISCONCEPTION that they can retaliate against a person if something is said that they don't like. A similar situation is ongoing in Lee County Schools at Verona Elementary since the 05-06 school year. A Special Education teacher of 31 years, Cathy Lindsey, stood against illegal practices against her special education students by Temeka Shannon, Angie Cherry, Johnny Green, and Johnny Dye. When she did she was harassed, intimidated, and retaliated against, forcing her to leave the classroom after 31 years because of anxiety and fear. Her case goes to court in Feb. of 2010. If the Lee County Schools can silence the only people who know what's going on, the First Amendment doesn't mean a thing. Let's pray that justice will once again be served! It will be a good thing for the city of Tupelo, and surrounding Lee County.

Hello, Lee County MS Educators!!! Please take a few minutes to enlighten yourselves about a problem in the Lee Co school system.
A special education teacher, Cathy Lindsey, of 31 years,(27 years in Alabama-retired, and 4 years in Lee Co. at Veronal Elementary)stood up for the legal rights of her special education students. When she did, she was retaliated against, harassed, and intimidated by principle Temeka Shannon. Pleas for help were ignored by Johnny Green (superintendent), Angie Cherry (sped coordinator), and Johnny Dye (assistant superintendent). She was forced to leave her classroom after 31 years because of stress, fear and anxiety. Rights of special education students were also denied, and need to be addressed.
There is presently a court case, no. 1:07cv120D-D filed in the U.S. District Court of Northern Mississipi Eastern Divison Cathy Lindsey vs. Lee County Schools, Temeka Shannon, Johnny Green, Johnny Dye, and Angie Cherry. It was filed in May of 2007. Trial date is Feb. 2010. You may access this case at dockets.justia.com .
To Mississippi Educators: UNITE, UNITE, UNITE. United YOU can stand against this type of abuse.

I've not heard of this case, but could write several "swept under the rug" instances involving Lee Co School Board and Central office. When are school board elections? Definitely the good ole boys (and women) in central office. Johnny Green still there this school year? What is his job? Several there went to school together...

Johnny Green retired after lawsuit was filed, but he still works there parttime. Mike Scott is Green clone

No way, headed to courtroom in Feb. 2010. The truth will be told. The truth WILL NOT be swept under the rug this time.

Temeka Shannon, Johnny Green, Johnny Dye, and Angie Cherry will be on Federal trial in Aberdeen, MS on Feb. 8, 2010. They face retaliation charges and constructive discharge charges.
