Does anybody know the given names of Vickie Felton's parents? I remember them as being very nice people, but cannot remember their given name(s)other than Mr.& Mrs. Felton. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

i was one of leighs classmates and think it is sad that tpd still has nothing to offer concerning her dissappearance.. i remember her coming to school with black eyes and bruises, but we were kids and i never thought about how maybe she was abused by family members in the home. i did ask her one time she came to school with 2 black eyes what happened and she said a horseapple fell from a tree and hit her in the face, i felt really stupid for believing that later but i was a kid just like her.. i hope and pray mr occhi that you are one day able to be at peace and that whoevr had something to do with leighs dissappearance gets what they deserve..

mjh3,,, I find myself thinkng of this missing girl very often. I have friends that say that too. Alot of times I wonder how old would she be now. I think about her especially when school starts each year. I do not know why. Do not punish yourself for not thinking she was possibly abused. She was just like you...a child. Abuse in some families is the normal theses days. I do not know if she was abused or not. I am going on what I have read in the newspaper and on this forum. It is surprising to me to know that this case is probably closed by now. I hope one day Mr. Occhi will have his answers to questions. Mr. Occhi...Lee is not a forgotten soul. She is tucked warmly within our hearts. My you find PEACE.

There are so many people in this area that stil think and wonder about her and what happened. If they have closed this case, they should reopen it simply because the community is so concerned about it. Although I do believe it is still open, but just not being looked into very closely. If it was handed over to one person solely to work on, I think it would be more likely to be solved. There is no reason why this case should still be a mystery. She was a child, and no child should ever have something happen to them and no one care enough to keep fighting for her. I am going to try and figure out who I need to talk to about getting this case looked into and hopefully solved. Someone should speak up for her, and right now no one is.

Lisa, I'm a reporter for the Clarion-Ledger, and I'm working on a story about cold cases. Would you be willing to talk to me about Leigh? It wouldn't be anything intrusive, just questions about what kind of child she was and if you were worried for your daughter at the time. If not, I understand, but I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!

I lived on Holmes St at time of Leigh's death. My daughter was near her age. She played with her. Like I said I Believe mother did it and buried her in creek in back of her House. They were Doing construction on creek at time. I was outside at time I heard of Leigh missing. Those big dump trucks were pouring limestone big rocks into area close behind her house. Will Someone Please dig up the creek bed.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking for people that knew Leigh and/or Vicky at the time of Leigh's disappearance for a story I'm writing on missing persons cold cases. I've noticed a lot of you knew one or both of them --Would anyone mind discussing it with me?

I'd really appreciate it. I like to make the people in my stories PEOPLE, and not statistics.

E-mail me if you wouldn't mind helping me on this story. Thank you all so much.

Makes me wonder too, my daughter found what looks like for sure part of a human leg bone sticking out of the sand in a creek here local, and the first thing I thought of was the few people missing around here in this area, may be one of their bones!

I will never stop believing that, just like with anything else, if the time and effort were put into this case, it would be solved. There is absolutely no reason at all this should still be considered unsolved or a cold case. I can't help but wonder and think what if, what if maybe the Police department would turn over the evidence files and everything related to the case to someone that felt they could help somehow. Just because you don't work in law enforcement, doesn't mean that you can't figure out a puzzle that has yet to be put together. I don't know what it could hurt, it doesn't seem that anyone else wants to work on it or take time to figure it all out. There are so many experts out there in the law enforcement community that specialize in cold cases. Why has no one contacted someone like that? There are just too many unanswered questions, that almost make it seem like someone doesn't want what happened to Leigh actually found out. Many keep asking each other questions, but nobody wants to make a stand and go to the people in charge of it and find out why this isn't something Tupelo has worked hard to make a top priority. I just really can't understand how a mother has a daughter go missing and she moves out of the town and goes on with her life like nothing ever happened. I can honestly say that, as a mother myself, I would never stop searching for my children and trying to figure out who or what did something to them. I wouldn't be able to rest until I knew the whole truth about everything. I couldn't have a life knowing that my child was missing, out there somewhere, either dead or alive, they don't deserve to never get justice for whatever it was that happened to them.

My cousin and Leigh were Best Friends. She has talked about Leigh's moms temper before..
Yes they were re doing a creek behind her house at the time she dissapeared. I had nightmares for years about that creek growing up (it was near my child hood home as well). I too believe that there is something in that creek bed...

I have heard comments from many people about that creek. Why was that not one of the very first places they checked for her? I mean really? I have spent my entire adult working life in health care, but took several classes in criminal justice in college, and I can assure you that I could have done a better job at investigating this case than the ones who actually did. If anyone has any idea on how to get this back in the public view and make this be solved, please let me know. Thank you!!

Why have the results not come out about the stamp used to mail the glasses?? Last year it was said it was sent off for testing. And why was the unsolved mysteries story never aired? What has been done in the past year to solve this murder ? Why would you not want the ditch tore apart? What have you done to push TPD to actually investigate this murder? Why is her mom allowed to have a life when Leigh don't? Why does it seem like the public cares more than the family?? I think you know!! I think you know who killed her

Why don't they have the results from the stamp or package yet? I would be demanding results from the TPD.
