the Daily Journal (Tupelo): Teachers should start with more knowledge
#1 Nov 7, 2012
If you inspire children the curriculum will take care of itself.

How do you propose that to happen?

First have teachers only teach what inspires them. You do not need teachers that are not thrilled about what they expose children to.
The lecture is not a method that gives children the chance to discuss questions and debates. Lectures can be on line if wanted. Teachers are mentors and tutors not leaders of a one size fits all class. Tests are not a measure of life long learning. Projects that demonstrate skills are better assessment of what is needed next. Age should not be the major factor to separate children. Levels of abilities is a greater grouping.

Most teachers would agree with you. Get a few ADMINISTRATORS to agree, and you'd really have something!!
