Marci Wagner said she and her husband, Scott, bought the building at 124 Main St.(which is the former Latin Quarters), in addition to the space next to it that previously held The Big Easy, a New Orleans-style restaurant.

Neon Pig currently has a location on North Gloster Street in Tupelo. The owners are in discussions to open a second restaurant in downtown Tupelo.....The Wagners are in negotiations with the Neon Pig owners to open a second location in the Big Easy space....

Does Tupelo need more places to eat? Perhaps we need more adult education. Maybe a few research labs for innovation?

Yes Downtown needs more restaurants, shopping and residential living. That's what Downtown living is about.

Anon, I agree on bringing in technology and research labs in Tupelo, but what would we be researching in?

First we do not have a down town we have a suburban town. They do not want to spend the money to build high rise apartments or multilevel parking. Few want to pay the cost of city living.

Such as bio-plastic-electric circuits that could change the electronic industry or Graphene is a substance composed of pure carbon, with atoms arranged in a regular hexagonal pattern similar to graphite, but in a one-atom thick sheet.
. Areas in quantum computers and entanglement research will propel economics and we need to be at the foundation. Organic foods are another growing area with high potential. MS has plenty of clay and little research on how to use it.

There is no end to the type of research that can provide an area with educated people.
