Hi - Does anyone have any knowledge of a company that existed in the 1850's called the Tunnelton Coal, Iron and Lumber Company? My great-great- grandfather was involved with it and I'm trying to do some research on him. Did it get sold to another company? Did it go under? Any information at all will be appreciated. Thanks,

I know my family was big in the coal companies at least at mines 1-4. Later they started the main Bank. I'm not familar with the company, but there is a book the "Industrial and commercial growth of Tunnelton, W.Va: " the coal center " : together with short biographical sketches of a number of her prominent citizens" That might help. Also Wiley's history of preston county.
