She has been a Police Officer for less than 18 months and she is already being promoted to Sgt. This is ridiculous and scary!

Good job Sgt Turner. With dedicated Law Enforcement Officers like you leading the way, it can only get better for the residents of Tularosa and Otero County. CONGRATS!

Look, we all know why these things happen and it may seem unsavory or distasteful to you but we women have been crapped upon and held back for years while you men make back room deals and use the buddy system to get ahead. Oftentimes you will schmooze with people you can't stand and laugh at their jokes to get a promotion so now it's our turn. Our way is actually better because instead of enduring a lengthy cocktail party or hours on the golf course, we simply drop to our knees or pull up our skirt and bend over and the whole thing is finished in a matter of a few minutes. Don't complain now that we've found a way to further ourselves too.
Way to go

Sgt Turner - your promotion is well deserved - posters like Warrior obviously have no clue about you or our community - in fact he puts Tularosa down always. Tularosa PD has come a long way in the past two or three years and I have lived here all of my life. You have been a welcome addition here - I have seen you at games and community events and working with our kids. My grandchildren think you are great. Keep up the good work - if you see Sheriff House let him know we miss him but we are glad he was elected so he better not forget this community! Be safe out there.
it worries me

Ya congrats, but well deserved? 18 months?? how can you get enough experince in such a little time to get such a promotion? Have you seen the Work? Great very nice pretty young lady but maybe thats how it worked to get promoted in this case. Be Safe Out There!! Cause I don't!!!

None of you know what she did before she joined the Tularosa PD. So don't be negative.

Who knows??? Not me! I just think positive, and if she was, so be it. What matters is what she is now!

She was not a stripper and never has ever been a stripper she is a good person. She has come a long way and for her to be able to make the promotion in 18 months shows she is more then qualified to do the job!!!!! Everyone who is being negative and speaking b4 you open your mouth are the ones who have a horrible life probably! This is something good why speak bad and negative! You should be ashamed of yourself (the crap talkers)! Round of applause for you best friend Tex! I got ur back ALWAYS!

Sgt. Turner and Lt. Wood BOTH deserve their promotions, and will serve Tuli as well as they ever have. I know both, and both are amazing, dedicated people who know their jobs inside and out. People of Tuli should feel thankful that these two are on their streets. Congrats, you two!

That's good to hear because if she had been, she'd probably go easy on working girls and we don't need a bunch of floozies running wild all over the place. I wish her all the best in her job and hope to hell that she locks up a lot of bad guys because they are out and about on every corner. Vaya con Dios.

Every brick you see was put there by a man. All the countries in the world were discovered by a man. Who gets up at night if there is an intruder in the house? Who fixes the flat tire? Who discovered electricity, the automobile, the train? Who died in wars fought for centuries?
Most anything significant has been accomplished by men. It's women like you that have given women a bad rap.

Great job Sgt. Turner! You may not have been with Tularosa PD for very long, but anyone who knows you can attest to your dedication and character as a person and certainly as a police officer. Congratulations girl :)

You're a sexist piece of crap. Women have contributed much to society including Madame Curie, Helen Keller, Sonia Hejnie, Maggie Thatcher, Joan of Arc and that Filipino chick who threw out all her shoes and governed beautifully. I pack heat in my purse so I'm not afraid of any intruder. I can drink you under the table, eat ***** better than any man and cook a gourmet meal all while doing my nails and balancing the books. Your misogyny is unwarranted and is worthy of a swift kick in the buttass.

She wasn't a Police Officer and she sure doesn't merit a Sgt. position in less than 18 months. She is still on probation. She has no idea what it is like on the streets yet she is going to be supervising people on those matters.
