Atlanta does not have much to offer as a convention destination outside of "the circle" when compared to Orlando or Las Vegas. Atlanta needs to market itself as "THE" place for business. Atlanta needs to focus on the fact that conventions are "business" oriented, and whatever else Atlanta "offers" is a distraction to the convention itself.

Nobody wants to go to Atlanta. Crappy weather, crime and nothing to do except watch the hillbillies strum their banjos.

If there are any racist hate conventions Atlanta is the place to be.

If Atlanta is going to try to sell itself for the future, it has to do something about the overloaded traffic system downtown and the daily bumper to bumper mess on the Interstates. Then Atlanta has got to make the thugs ,hobos ,panhandlers, beggars, and the other street trash unwelcome downtown. People on convention like to take a break and wander out sometimes, but not with the vermin that's out there now roaming the streets. Tourists staying downtown SHOULD be able to walk to the downtown attractions without being hounded ,verbally abused , or followed. Clean it up or people will continue to book conventions elsewhere.
