We just returned from Atlanta and live in the Ozarks of Arkansas. I took my 25 yr old daughter, my 7 yr old son and a 54 yr old friend to ya'lls fine city. The only black people we are usually around are from the Mississippi/delta region. I am so glad my 7 yr old got to be around the black people from atlanta. We have never met such friendly, helpful, fun people. The white atlanta people were ok, but the black atlanta people were just great. The kids were well behaved and loved. We used MARTA alot and met people not involved w/the tourist trade. Every one we met was helpful and friendly. All my fb friends and my husband were against 3 women and a kid going to atlanta due to safety reasons. We will be going back to see ya'll again. If i was going to raise a black kid, I would want to raise the kid in atlanta. I am a hillbilly and don't really like cities so that is the very highest compliment I can give any city. Thank ya'll for such a wonderful trip!(i know how negative topix can be and hope this thread stays positive)

So I want you to please enlighten us in your OWN words and opinion, exactly what is a racist, please, no canned quotes.
Also please enlighten us as to what is the difference between a "Tribalist", and a "Racist".
I surely hope, that it doesn't overtax your gray matter.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that the term "racist" is a round about way to shut up people that you disagree with!
Good luck.
Using logic to converse with this insane nut who thinks a wooden puzzle with more than 5 parts is only solvable by a graduate from Cal Tech is a waste of anyone's time. His one track mind is to destroy any thread not involving demeaning remarks to blacks, whites, and hispanics. His favorite words are: hillbilly and racist. Any reference to self-reliance is beyond his learning curve, remember he lives in the state with the lowest test scores in America. I have found the best way to irritate him is to never respond to his demented insanity. Bless his little heart.

Why is crime so much more prevalent in certain areas of the city?

The best way to irritate the nut, is to ask him a question where the correct answer is one he will not give. Instead he will use the tactic of trying to change the subject, which only serves to expose him for the racist and bigot that he is.

may I suggest a few areas for you to visit. Some very nice neighborhoods that are true to atlanta. Old homes very nice residents who would take the time to give you a real taste of Atlantans. Some of these areas; cabbage town, vines city ,the bluff, five points(after dark is best-at least for the "residents"anyway) west end ,McDaniel glen. This should give you plenty of Atlantans charm

This ghetto thug who had been living in Atlanta killed a baby during a robbery when the mama had no money for him. Hopefully this will help you in your decision to return to Atlanta for your next visit.

You might want to thank the black ghetto thugs for this:

Double shooting at Varsity in Atlanta with an 8 car pile-up. More Atlanta ghetto thug activity destroying a great hot dog institution. If you want a Varsity Dog, you should be caring. When they ask you what you have, you might say I'll have some ammo with that..

I agree! Georgia really sucks! You'd have to be a complete moron to live there.
That's why you spend so much time TROLLING on an Atlanta, GEORGIA forum. One has to wonder if Cacafornia is really all that. I mean really, if Cacafornia was all that, why wouldn't you be out and about enjoying the mountains, the beaches, the deserts, the cosmopolitian cities like San Francisco, instead of TROLLING on a computer all day & night. ROTFLMAO!!!! You said you were "wealthy" so obviously money isn't an issue.

On your next visit to Atlanta be sure and visit these ghetto thugs and thank them for their criminal acts of child sexual prostitution and slavery of those black children. Many are starting to doubt your post because you never respond. Bless your little heart.

i don't respond because i had a nice time in atlanta, wanted to say something positive. crime is everywhere. negative people are everywhere. i spent 3 days in a new (to me)city and was impressed by the people i personally had contact with. nothing i said should be such an issue. i seldom read topix. it was just my version of a thank u card. like poor ol/rodney king said "can't we all just get along?"

Remember ole Rodney was drunk as a coot. Try getting along with the ghetto thug baby killer that killed that little baby.
