Yeah, that's brilliant. More lazy do nothing consultants. Huge losses in court revenues. Here's an idea. Contract planning out because it couldn't get any worse than it is.

It is right. Robert and Donna and Pam have been plotting to get rid of Q of L for quite some time. At first they tried to move them under Cooley which was the equivalent of getting rid of them. Some think they are too hard on the businesses so they must go. It causes so much work for city hall to have to enforce those numerous violations committed by the businesses.

I was told about this so I am putting my 2 cents in. What we want is for the city to beef-up QOL not farm it out to somebody who does not know anything about Doraville. We want our neighborhoods cleaned-up. Has anyone been to Oakcliff lately? Come take a look will you! Property values have been run down to the point of extinction. We want Buford Highway cleaned-up once and for all! The road, the windows covered with crap, junk on the sidewalks in shopping centers, dingy shops where nobody can shop or wants to. We want our taxes to go to protecting our citizens and protecting our property values. That's what we want. Beef-up QOL and hire people that live in the city and know our city.

The problem with the present QoL staff is they haven't been doing a good job. And its IMPOSSIBLE to fire a government worker. With contractors you can fire them on-the-spot for having sex on duty or DUI.
Talk about Oakcliff, it was once the premier neighborhood in Doraville.
But have you seen 3900 Live Oak? Its under a tent now. What an eyesore!
At some point it will collapse into a pile of rubble.

Q of L has been doing their job, except when their handcuffed by Donna and others who do nothing but protect the slumlords. Then there's the court system who have not been doing their jobs to the point of losing 3 million in revenue for the city. It may be possible to fire a contractor easier but it won't be done, unless of course they DO their job. That seems to be the culture in Doraville, doing a good job is rewarded with being fired and the slackers continue to collect their pay and benefits.

Bad move for residents. Voters talk to your council.

Good advice Rich but since Robert Patrick has been pushing for this since day one and Maria, Brian and Karen know what's best for us, what good will it do?

I think the voters need to CHANGE the council, that's our only hope. Seriously.

Bad move. Bad for homeowners who care about property values. Bad for image of city that's gonna suffer. Bad because of low class businesses that litter Doraville and get away with it.

Thank the new city manager, with the blessing of Bates and gang, for letting this happen.

Gillen was brought here to manage these types of jobs and instead he outsources his job responsiblites.

And council (except for Trudy) hands it to him on a silver platter.

November can't come soon enough. Bates, Patrick and Pachuta have GOT to go!!!

Truly. The damage they are doing with their new found power is astounding. Just look at the DDA loaded with their buddies Halpern and Avers. I hope some reversing can be done when the time comes. PLEASE people, run against these three!

Have you looked at crime reports for your city? Is Doraville the preferred location for sex offenders to live? It sure looks so. They are everywhere in Doraville. The Chamblee side of Doraville too. What is this? Does your Doraville PD report to you people on this?

It's a done deal. Jump on it and see just how well it works. Hold 'em accountable.
