Well I sure as heck wouldn't have spent five years and a zillion dollars on making two passing lanes and a freaking BICYCLE LANE!! REALLY????? Whose bright idea was that? What insane person would ride a bicycle on Hwy 20 with all those tractor trailers, and with the amount of traffic on that road whoever imposed the plan for a bicycle lane should be JAILED.

if you are not bright enough to make that decision, maybe you need to step down out of the dept of transportation

I'm dying to know who made the brilliant decision to have the Canton meeting so far away from Canton. Seems like they're trying to get people to NOT show up!

Don't you think that input is coming a little late as this project has been in slow motion for several years now?? Personally, I think the only solution is to move the road as there are far too many churches, cemeteries, and private residences(within very close proximity) to allow for widening of the road in many locations. The opening and closing of passing lanes is only going to make the road more dangerous. I agree that the "bike path" idea was obviously made with the same consideration for human lives as was the traffic flow pattern in front of Canton Market Place. Any rational individual would know that this will only lead to more deaths for bikers as well as motorists on one of the most dangerous highways in our state.

One way to improve SR20 and all of North Georgia Infrastructure is teach people how to drive properly. Doing so will improve the flow of traffic greatly. These are some of the worst drivers I've ever seen. I particular can't stand the drivers that grew up learning how to drive tractors in a field. It shows when they are driving their cars on the roads today. How about the people that are too busy on a cell phone call to pay attention while they are driving. Then you have the people that just don't signal when turning or changing lanes. How about the people that jump out on a 50mph road doing 15mph and hardly increase their speed causing back ups behind them. How about the people that make left turns and hug the right shoulder preventing others to drive around them. How about a 7 second delay when the light turns green before the person in front moves.
