What about the kids that live in St. Clair Co. that come to school in Trussville , Will the parents have to pay an increase on property taxes?

We must vote no, in March, to this ridiculous property tax increase. If passed, the increase would be about an additional $125.00 for each $100,000 of property value. This increase is in addition to the already strapped property tax structure, which includes city, county and state taxes.
In this strapped economy, the City of Trussville needs to error on the side of austerity and consider common sense politics. If we," John Doe Private Citizen", needs additional monies just to furnish our family the necessities of life, we can't arbitrarily go to the company boss and demand more money. We just take a long look, at our budget, and cut back or due without until the next pay check comes around. Trussville, unlike private industry, consistently expands, so the need for capital is an ongoing problem, especially in this recession. But, if Trussville did act more like private companies, the city could avoid having to tap the taxpayer for extra revenue.
Is this extra property tax a move towards transparent politics? Would the Trussville School Superintendent , who allegedly makes more money than most other county School chiefs including the Jefferson Counties School Superintendent , be willing to reduce her salary, by giving back a portion to the few schools she manages? A move that would be more in line, with what is happening in today's economy.
This monumental property tax increase is indisputably not Monopoly Money. The $125.00 per each $100.000 of house value would go a long way to help balance the Trussville Citizenry's budget. Citizens of Trussville, we must wake up, unite, and spread the word by any means possible, that enough is enough.
