Something similar happened to me not long ago, The guy took my money and left town, I went to the Better Business Bureau and they were able to tracked him down, but I never recovered my money., they told me that he was in prison at that time...!

THIS IS NOT AS UNCOMMON AS YOU MAY THINK. I KNOW SEVERAL FORMERLY LISCENCED TRADE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LET THEIR LISCENSES EXPIRE WITHOUT RENEWING THEM. THEY THINK THAT ONCE LISCENSED THEY CAN DO THE JOB WITHOUT IT AND STILL CHARGE LISCENSED RATES. JUST THEIR WAY OF CUTTING THEIR EXPENSES! NO NEEED TO PAY THE STATE A FEE, THEY PAY TAXES DON'T THEY?

how about the home owners should be checking on his license before they hire him. Easy to check on current licenses, probably he gave them the cheapest price so they went with him,and told anyone else that bid on the job they were too expensive!!! Happens all the time!! so shame on the home owners for not making sure he was licensd and insured!!

how about a man wanting you to do a job, he pays you for the materials, you get the materials, then he flips out running his mouth-so you tell him off. meanwhile, hes got the material, that he paid for, laying in his yard. I told him he voided the contract because of how he was acting-I was sure he would never pay me for the labor when I was done. One year later, the attorney general says I have to give this guy back all his money for the material, which has been sitting outside and is no longer usable. What kind of bullshit is that?
