this author has seen many rock legends.
i also saw so many, i would run out of letter characters here if i named them all.
when i see them now, i always will envison them when they were young.
roger daltry with his loin like mame of hair..........clapton closing his eyes as rips off a guitar riff..........a young steven tyler and aerosmith ..........the list goes on forever..........i guess in a way we are all ghosts, forever young in our minds eye.

Yessiree! I remember seeing Peter Frampton (who jumped off an amp and split his red spandex pants right up the seam! lol!) up in Hartford at Colt Park back in the day, And Elf (with Ronnie James Dio, R.I.P.), Aerosmith and Deep Purple, with David Coverdale singing lead, because Ian Gillan was doing Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway. The John Miles Band, Fleetwood Mac and Jefferson Starship another night there. The J. Giles Band and Jethro Tull. The Doobie Bros. opening for Yes and that hellaciously fantastic laser show! The Grateful Dead. Crosby Stills and Nash. No Neil Young at that show, although I remember seeing him and Lake Compounce. Eight to the Bar opened for him that night. So many more great shows, that you could actually afford to go to! Not so nowadays, unless you're a "Friend of Jimmy's" and belong to Jimmy Koplik's over-priced ticket club.(What a dick. As if he didn't make enough money bringing all those great acts to CT, now you can't get a decent seat for decent money anymore, you have to pay to be in his "Club" to get a good seat. How much of greedy pig can one person be?) Sorry! Didn't mean to bring you down! Where were we - ah yes, great rock legends! How about Chicago?? What a great band, one of the first rock bands to incorporate brass into the mix! Ah, youth! It's wasted on the young!

funny we were at a lot of those shows together before we ever knew of each other.
the best I thought I saw was queen at the palace theater in Waterbury.
Freddie mercury could of been the best front man EVER.........his operatic voice , his stage presence. the impression he gave that you were the only one in the room. I've talked to others about this show and they felt the same way.
Edgar winters white trash was also one of the first to mix brass and electric.
and
you could go to the show, buy a t-shirt, gas and a six pack for $20..........of course you made $2 an hour, but you basically had no bills..........if I only knew then what I know now.

Oh yeah, Mott the Hoople and Queen!! What a great show THAT was, huh?? Oh man, that takes me back! And I wish I had seen Edgar with White Trash, when Johnny joined them onstage. What a show! Glad I have a live recording of it!

We've seen some great shows, my forum bro! Some day we've got to get to one last, great show. Hmmm, Ian Hunter (of Mott the Hoople fame) is playing around here in September, at the Fairfield Theatre, I think? I'll check on it and get back to ya!
