Everything was built better in the old days when workers took pride in what they did. Not like today. Today they look for overpriced shortcuts. It's a shame!

"Officials claim Pleasure Beach demolitions still a mystery"

As we all know BRIDGEPORT CITY OFFICIALS are pathological liars!! As a lifelong prisoner here, in this miserable dump of a city, I know that from many first hand experiences!! Whoever destroyed those historical buildings was ordered to do so by those same lying vermin! The heavy equipment had to come in through Stratford, just like all those "kids" that the liars are so concerned about! There had to be plenty of witnesses and I have no doubt that some of them will come forward! They must come out to third parties like the FBI and newspapers, however, because you can bet your life the Bridgeport cops will be working overtime to PREVENT those responsible from being identified! The article mentions the Dewhirst Dairy building. There is no mystery surrounding that case. They could not get permits to demolish the historic structure SO THE CRAPOZZIELLOS BURNED IT DOWN!!! There were witnesses but no willingness to pursue the case because the trail would have led to BRIDGEPORT CITY OFFICIALS!!!! The Crapozziellos razed the Pleasure Beach buildings!! I'll bet my life on it!!!! But don't expect any help from the city in bringing that fact to light. The Bridgeport cops are nothing more than mob enforcers and will do, OR NOT DO, whatever they are told!!! Just like they did with Fabrizi, Ganim and all the scum that preceded them!! Despite the extensive criminal history that the Crappies have amassed in this city, most notable Mt. Trashmore, the BRIDGEPORT CITY OFFICIALS continue to provide them with a never ending supply of work!!! They recently pocketed almost HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to clean up the Trashmore site!!! JUST WAIT AND SEE... who do you think will be removing the demolition debris from Pleasure Beach???? Corruption is literally out of control here and the FEDS are partially to blame! Eliminating ganim was just the tip of the iceberg and they know it!!!! They promised to continue the corruption investigation and they lied!! Their abandonment of the corruption clean-up has led the current BRIDGEPORT CITY OFFICIALS to adopt an ANYTHING GOES policy. From the Assessor to Zoning, they know the Feds have turned their backs so they are doing whatever they please and the law be d@mned!!!!

Rumors in Stratford of a witness to the destruction of the Pleasure Beach Carousel House:

A Stratford resident walking his dog at 4:30 a.m. reported witnessing the destruction of the carousel house. The witness claims that at approximately 4:30 a.m. he was walking his dog on the other side of the carousel house when a UFO suddenly appeared and hovered over the carousel house and seemed to attempt to land or enter the carousel when the weight of the flying object knocked down the structure. The witness claims that the incident lasted about 7 seconds and that the UFO disappeared in a blink of an eye. The UFO was said to be about one third (1/3) the diameter of the carousel structure; silver color and shaped like a saucer.

Looking at the picture of the carousel structure from the air (great shot Morgan) it is plausible that the UFO could have confused the carousel structure with a ‘mother ship’ and may have tried to enter it, causing the structure to collapse.

You guys need to stop jumping to conclusions and quickly blaming the mayor for everything. Just because some ‘green creatures’ were seen piloting into and destroying the structure, doesn’t mean that Finch sent them .

Is this the same Joel Gonzales who is "delighted to have been endorsed as the Republican candidate for State Representative of the 130th. district in Bridgeport." (Yeah, it is)

Who like Lieberman failed as a democrat so is now getting on his knees in hopes of sliming his way into the pants of the republican elite! I can think of no one I would trust less!!

As disgusting as corrupt democrats are, republicans still make them look like choir boys!!!

Clearly this failed, BRIDGEPORT CITY OFFICIAL wannabe, by his UFO comment, isn't quite willing to burn all his bridges just yet. He's ready and willing to jump into the corruption pool, whether it be red or blue,... he just hasn't been able to get his foot in the door.... YET!!

Don't take my word for anything though. Given Bridgeport’s spotless reputation there couldn't possibly be anything improper going on.... It must be the alien brain implant talking!! Right Joel????

Exactly, and who really cares how it was leveled. Maybe it was a UFO. The structure was shot to hell anyway.

You don't need heavy equipment. All you need is a good strong rope or chain. Wrap it around the center or main beam and pull it with a truck. Those structures were so old and weather worn a good strong push would of probably given the same results.

These old fools must have too much time on their hands to worry about kids knocking down dilapidated buildings. Sell Pleasure Beach to Fish and Wildlife and move on.

Pleasure Beach is a treasure left in neglect and should not be considered as a plum for a developer. Rebuild the bridge so we may all go there again or grant access another way.

Pleasure Beach should be restored to being a park and beach with concessions so residents of Bridgeport and neighboring towns may enjoy it. It is not only history -- it is the future and that does not include condominiums or gambling.

Any contribution of stories and pictures will be greatly appreciated.

Visit: http://www.savepleasurebeach.com/

Any information as to the names of persons that actually destroyed the buildings will be gratefully received and sources will remain anonymous.

"In a way I'm kind of glad they are down," Finch said. "They were probably never built to code. They were carny buildings."

Yea that quote by Finch wasn't a dead give away or anything.

Ugh.

I can't believe that "nobody knows" who knocked the buildings down!
That's stupid.
And Finch is happy they're gone?
He KNOWS something about it.
More lies.
