A `somber day' three years later
Three years ago today, on an afternoon not unlike the suffocating ones of the recent heat wave, Bridgeport firefighters responded to an incident that department members would tell you should have been routine: fire in a typical Bridgeport three-story wooden house at 41 Elmwood Ave. on the city's West Side.
